Recommended Circulating Coolant Tank Heater for a 2005 Kenworth T600 with Cummins ISX Engine
Question:
Is there a 2000 watt, 120 volt circulating tank, heater hose mount block/colant heater? Also, is it thermostatically controlled to come on at a specific cold temperature, or just to cut off at the 175 degree maximum. Im looking to mount it in a 2005 Kenworth T600 wit an ISX Cummins engine. Probably a much higher coolant capacity than most applications you sell. Thats why Im wondering about the higher wattage. Or, is 1500 watts adequate? I live in eastern oklahoma, not in a subzero climate. Just wondering about the beast application. Given the age of the truck and engine, Im paranoid about trying to remove the 2 bolts that hold the freeze plug cover without twisting them off as I expect they are surely pretty well seized up after all these years without being removed! Ha Thanks,

I have exactly what you will need to ensure warm coolant in flowing through your 2005 Kenworth T600 at all times. For this you are indeed going to want a large capacity coolant heater. The most well equipped heater we have for your needs is the Kat's Heaters Thermostatically Controlled Circulating Tank Heater part # KH13200. The heater is thermostatically controlled meaning it turns on when plugged in and shuts off when the temperature reaches 175 degrees fahrenheit.
The above heater is designed for systems with a fluid capacity from 41-60 quarts which is likely what the cooling system in your Kenworth is at. The heater operates at 2,000 watts, uses 120 volt power, and draws 15 amps of current. They are made in the U.S.A and come with a 1-year limited warranty. Everything you will need to install the heater is included in the kit except for the lower radiator hose T. I have linked a few sizes for you but if you don't see your size let me know what that is and I will see if one is available for your application.
