Adam: What's going on everybody, Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the WeatherTech Under Seat Truck Storage Box. So, if you don't really like having a toolbox or already have a toolbox, and you really want something to store your stuff on the inside of your truck, this is it. A very, very simple design, it just goes right underneath our seats here. So this way, no one's going to be able to see any of your tools or anything like that. If you have a bunch of stuff you always have to keep in your truck, you can keep it in the truck and you don't have to worry about other people seeing how dirty it is.
Sometimes people just see stuff in a vehicle and they're like, "Oh, that's dirty." Half the time, that happens to me, but it's my tools and I need to get it in my truck to get it to and from the destination, whether I'm just doing side work or just working at home. This way, we're going to be able to keep everything in there to keep the truck nice and pretty. And it's going to be a little bit more secure than a toolbox. If somebody's walking past your truck and they see the toolbox, they probably think that there's some goodies in there. With this, when everything is down and someone may be walking by, you really don't really have to worry about it because I can't even see the box hardly, even if I'm just peering in. So I think that it's going to be a lot more secure.
Yes, we usually have locks and stuff on the toolbox, but we have one, two, three, four doors. So four locks, and I really think someone is going to try to break into a toolbox a lot more often than trying to break a window and get into the truck. So all in all, really, really easy. You just pretty much take it out of the box, throw it in.And we do have one little piece that we're going to install here, so this little strap. What we're going to do is, we're just going to pretty much just take it off on the little strap here, and take it off again.
Now up on the back, we going to have this little gap here. Pretty much just feed that through like this, back through, take that part off, feed it through there. And this is just going to help it from shifting whenever we're going down the road and maybe we have some tools in it, it's got some weight to it. And whether you have Just Carpet here or you have a vinyl lining or even just floor mat or something like that, might want to slide around. So when we put this on, it's going to prevent that from happening.
So pretty much once we get it through, all right, I'm going to put it down and we're going to use some point back here. This all depends on what you guys think is best. Probably just going to use this little seatbelt portion here, feed that through, pull it, snap it in and then take the rest of that excess out, tighten it down. Now, it's really not going to go anywhere. It might shift a little bit, but it's definitely a lot less if we didn't have that strap in. So that's pretty much all you have to do, you really don't have to use the strap. I recommend it just because it's going to help it from shifting forward when you have weight in there. But all in all, we're going to have a bunch of different compartments and it's going to get all your stuff nice and organized. Just to give you an idea how big the storage compartment is, I'm going to pretty much take all the stuff I had underneath the seat of the truck before and put it in there and see if it's going to hold all of it.So usually what I do is I have a bag of tools, bag of bits, I want to put the big old box of tools over here in the bigger compartment, the bag right here. And I'm not even using these two little storage spots here. So I'm going to grab a couple more drills, maybe another tool box, a little bit extras than what I usually use on a job. But just to give you an idea, pretty much you can fit almost all the tools you really need for any job right in here. And it all closes real nicely. So I really like that just because the truck still looks clean, but you got all your stuff to do what you got to do. So there was a couple of times where I did break work for somebody and I took their break caliber home. I put it up on my dash, the brake fluid leaked out and it took the finish off of my dash. This, you don't have to worry about it, it will be chemically resistant against even brake fluid, stuff like that.So the finish is going to stay the same over time. And the finish actually is really, really similar to the OEM black on all of our trim pieces in the Silverado that we're working on today. So I would definitely say it's an OEM look and it's really is a custom fit. It contours to everything that you see here. And of course when we put it down all the way, it is pretty much exactly like the shape of our seats here. So you're definitely going to be pleased with the fit. I think you'll be pleased with the finish, and all in all, it's going to be really, really nice to get a lot more storage space. That's actually in a box in a bin and not just laying loose underneath your seat. And that's just about it for a look at the WeatherTech Under Seat Storage Box on our 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500..

Keep your truck clean and organized with this under seat storage box. Custom made to fit your vehicle. Large capacity is perfect for storing jumper cables, tools, and all sorts of supplies.Good fit and very convenient.
It's great, I got rid of my cross bed tool box and have everything I need under my back seat
Perfect fit in my truck. The only thing that keeps it from getting a fifth star is the fact that the hole for the strap does not line up with anything under the truck's seat. I had to attach it to the seat belt support, which is several inches away from the strap hole.

I recommend taking a look at our video on a 2017 Chevy Silverado 2500 at mark 2:02 to see how we handled using the strap.
