Video Transcript for BedRug BedTred Impact Truck Bed Mat Review - 2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty

So you have your F-250 and you're ready for truck stuff or work, for adventure. Whatever you wanna do with your truck, here's what will happen if you put cargo in it, you wanna prevent the cargo from slipping around or you may damage your cargo. If you wanna carry all kinds of heavy loads, maybe wood, maybe ladders. What will happened to that is if you don't have any liners in your truck beds, you could either damage your cargo or your truck bed. So what do you do Well, you get a liner just like this. So this is gonna be the bed tread impact truck fit liner.

It's very quick and easy to put on for when you need it right away. It provides a nice, safe cushion for both your cargo and your knees for if you wanna work inside of your truck bed. And it keeps your truck bed a little bit safer. This is custom fit for F-250 make sure to use our fit guide right here at etrailer. Especially if you have the longer bed so that you can get the right fit for your bed and your truck.

But since it is custom fit, notice how it is cut to fit around your wheel wells and your sidewalls. So in this video, we're gonna take a look at how well does it actually fit What is it made of Does it actually work And then I'll show you how quick it is to install later on. So let's talk about the custom-fit notice that it does fit around your wheel Wells, around your sidewall, but we do have a little bit of extra space or extra gaps to the side. So you don't have anything spilling over. I would still say it's like a 90% good fit, but the reason for that extra open space is because you can get the upgraded version of this mat.

That's gonna be the bed rug impact, where you get this impact mat. But you also get a polypropylene carpet like sidewalls. That's gonna be for your sidewalls and your bulkhead and that will fill in those gaps. So just because of that, I would say it fits almost perfectly. So what's this made of Well, let's flip it up and take a look.

So I didn't have it stuck to our tailgate just yet. That's because I'm trying this out on a bunch of different trucks, seeing how I really like the fit, things like that. One thing I did notice is that it really does absorb the impact that's because underneath the liner we have a three quarter inch layer of foam. So that foam is gonna be what you see in life jackets. It absorbs the impact. It doesn't absorb water though. So you prevent mold and mildew. And then let's take a look at the top. on top of the foam, you have this TPO material, so that's gonna be thermal plastic. And I would like to say it blends the grittiness. So you still have a good anti-skid surface, but it's not as gritty as a let's say spray-on liner. Those liners when you kneel on them, they could be rough on your knees and your hands. So this is a really good mix of the both. That thermal plastic makes this a lot easier to clean. So if you have, let's say leaves on there, you could just sweep it off, you can use a leaf blower. If it really gets dirty, you can easily use a power washer because of the material. It's perfectly fine with your different chemicals. Even if you have a oil spill, perfectly fine. Even bleach is okay on this type of material. So here we have our tailgate hinge. So whether you have a tailgate closed or you have it open just like that, we have this hinge here made of a different material. So this is gonna be made of mesh. So it's a strong enough mesh where it still creates a full liner and debris doesn't just fall right through, but it's flexible as well to accommodate for your opening and closing of your tailgate. So what's the experience like How does this mat actually feel Was this really quick and easy to install And it actually really was. You just pop it in. Maybe the only involved process would be your initial set up of the hooking loop patches if that's what you wanna use. Even without those patches though, I noticed that it stays in the bed and it doesn't shift around much. As for feeling the impact cushion, feeling that foam. This is very comfortable. I've had to work in a bunch of different truck beds and those plastic liners, as well as those spray-on in liners can be very uncomfortable. This feels really good to work on. I so can see how it absorbs the impact. So if I did drop tools on here, I wouldn't be worried about my truck bed. Prep work, you're gonna have some adhesive strips at the end of those adhesive strips you have hook and loop patches. So those patches are gonna be placed underneath your liner, follow the instructions for your specific vehicle, but do not take off the adhesive strip first. So just make sure it's patched on you're gonna need to prep your truck bed. So in our case here, we do not have a spray-in liner. So this is perfectly fine. I recommend using rubbing alcohol at all those new places where you're gonna keep on using the adhesive. If you do have a spray-in liner, no problem either because we do have a separate special kit to allow you to adhere to that spray-in liner as well. So once you've thoroughly cleaned your surfaces with alcohol and you've allowed the alcohol to dry you're then ready to place your liner on your vehicles. And if you have a tailgate cover, make sure to take that off. If this is a spray-in liner, make sure to use a special adhesive and then go ahead and just drop your liner in. With everything in place, now you take your adhesive strip off and then you just make sure everything is lined up with your truck bed. Once that's done, you're done with the install. To my personal thoughts about this truck bed mat is I really like how quick and easy. Just straight out of the box, you just unroll it, drop it into your truck bed. And if you want a bit more of a permanent secure fit you go ahead and use those adhesive and hook and loop patches. Those secured to your truck bed. Even if you have a spray-in liner, perfectly fine. I've worked in trucks with spray-in liners and I find that my hands are torn up afterwards. They're uncomfortable on the knees. So if your focus is comfort, if you plan on sitting in your truck, working in your truck, this might be a very good option for you. To my personal thoughts about this truck mat is I do like how quick it is to set up if I'm not using my truck all the time or if I'm not carrying heavy loads, this would be nice just to throw in real quick right before I have to carry a bunch of ladders or a bunch of pallets or whatever you want to carry. Now, I also would prefer though, to get the full truck bed liner. That's the one with the carpeted sidewalls made of polypropylene that's because then I would get the full experience and full protection of my truck bed. It also looks good. So it'd definitely be a nice premium upgrade for my Ford F-250. But as for the custom fit, I have no objections to it. I definitely say take advantage of the tailgate liner though. That way you can take full advantage of how well this absorbs impact and protects your Ford F-250..

Have had Bed Rug Impact mats prior to this, when I purchased this truck the Bed Rug brand was backordered. Sales person pointed me at this becuase it was in stock and I wasn't wanting to wait.
A year later, I sure wish the Bed Rug had been in stock, this isn't holding up too well. Feels and looks very cheap compared. The way it attaches to the tailgate there is always some thing catching on it and pulling at it, the Bed Rug Impact mat also had a mesh connecting between the bed and the tailgate mat, stuff wouldn't fall thru but it held no water.
I intend to replace this at some point. Pretty disappointed in it, I'd heard of WeatherTech but I'll prolly pass on their stuff in the future.

First off, I would give etrailer 5 stars, they are awesome. This bed liner however is not what I expected. It is about 3/4 inches thick but is like a closed cell foam rubber skinned with a thin layer of hard plastic on top. It is molded to fit the bed corrugations which is nice but has a lot of "give" to it.
The liner is hook and loop into the bed and is VERY light. The tailgate extension is sealed to the main liner which I like. The tailgate cover is hook and loop onto the tailgate as well. That part is not long for this world for a work truck as the exposed edge at the top of the tailgate is just that, exposed for all heavy objects to snag on the way into the truck bed when the tailgate is opened. The cover also does not sit flush with the center of the tailgate, it sort of bulges so to speak. I had figured I would use the tailgate access panel attachment screws to better hold the cover into place but the cover is so soft fear it would just look like junk.
The main mat itself is short of going all the way to the sides by quite a bit, maybe an inch or so all the way around. Given they molded the bottom to fit the corrugation, they could have easily molded the bottom to fit the curvature of the bed sides/bottom and continued the mat another 2-3 inches on left and right sides to protect better.
I chose to use the mat as I made my bed so to speak but in the past, the hard, firm rubber mats and hard plastic screw down liners for tailgates have served me perfectly. Time will tell and if this cover works better than I fear, will happily correct my review.
Again though, etrailer is an awesome company to work with.

Placing the order was as easy as 1,2,3 for placement. The customer service rep understood what I wanted to purchase and improve my towing capabilities of my 2019 Ford F150 5.0. Upon the completion of my order I was given a time frame of my purchases. Well one of my purchases arrived damaged and I called etrailer. Lori understood my frustration and immediately started the process of replacing the damaged items.
I thank the staff of etrailer for being fairly priced and customer oriented.

  • Recommended Bed Mat for 6-3/4 Foot Bed on 2017 Ford F-350 with Gooseneck and Puck System
The BedTred Impact Truck Bed Mat - Thermoplastic # IMQ17SBS does not come with the locations marked for the gooseneck and 5th wheel cutouts. The DeeZee Custom-Fit Truck Bed Mat # DZ87011 is another option for a mat, that also does not have the 5th wheel cutouts marked. For a mat that does have at least the 5th wheel markings, I recommend the WeatherTech TechLiner Custom Truck Bed Mat - Black # WT38210. This is a thermoplastic fitted mat that uses Velcro adhesion. • Does BedRug Need Trimming to Fit B&W Companion to OEM Pucks on 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty
If your BedRug floormat, like the BedTred Impact Truck Bed Mat # IMQ17SBS, is covering the OEM puck system on your 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty then you'll need to cut out openings so the B&W Companion # BWRVK3370 anchors can fit to the pucks. Sometimes this does involve cutting some more of the mat to fit the profile of the hitch but if your mat generally sits below the pucks you shouldn't have to do much trimming.
