Adam: Hi, everybody. Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the DZ truck bed mat. So you guys might be wondering why, Adam, do I really need a bed mat for my truck I'm going to use it. It doesn't really matter what goes in the bed. I disagree, and I'm going to show you why.So we just pulled in a truck.
It's a 2020 with about 10,000 miles on it, but the whole entire bed is completely scratched, literally from the tailgate all the way up until the cab of our truck. The first thing that I noticed when I pulled this thing into the shop here was that this thing has definitely been used and abused. You guys can see all these scratches. It is an extreme amount, something that I wouldn't want my truck, even if it's a 1962, I wouldn't want my truck to have all these scratches on it.So this bed mat is going to serve a really good purpose. One, if you guys are installing anything on the inside of your truck, like today, I put on this Tonneau cover, and I literally just put the truck bed mat in before I started installing because it was really tough on my knees.
So it's going to save your knees, and also it's just going to save your truck from this disaster you see here.So this is going to be a customized size and shape for your guys's specific truck. We have a 2020 Ram 1500 here, and you guys are going to see how easily it goes in and how nicely it fits. So if you guys don't have an extra set of hands, we can manage it ourselves. I've done this a couple times. It isn't the prettiest thing, it's not the easiest, but it is definitely possible.
So we just want to make sure that the striped side is going to be facing up and the dotted side is going to be facing down.And then of course we are going to have a unique shape to this one in particular. So we want to pick the right shape and put the right side towards the cab of our truck, kind of just find where it fits in the nicest, lay it in, pretty much a done deal. So in a matter of minutes, you guys can be protecting your bed to prevent it from all that. And the nice thing about it is it really doesn't take long at all, and we are going to have about three-eighths of an inch of really high quality, highly durable Nyracord. And this is going to not really rust or corrode, obviously, because it is rubber, but it's also not going to crack or anything like that, even in the most extreme temperatures.And one thing that I like, whenever I go ahead and throw stuff in the bed of my truck, that's just real loud, and it's scratching a bunch of stuff.
And you could definitely tell a difference there. So if you do have stuff that's kind of loosely sitting around, it's going to make less noise, and it's not really going to slide near as fast or as much. Obviously, we're going to have a lot of sliding just on the bare metal when we have some tools like you see here. But up on here, we are going to have a pretty grippy surface, so it is going to help you get traction with your feet, so you don't slip when it's wet, but also whatever you guys have in here, it's not going to slide around like crazy either. And when we're talking about sliding around, really the shape of this mat, when it goes all the way up to the cab of our truck, it kind of contours to the wheel wells of our back wheels and the bed of our truck, and obviously it goes all the way back to the tailgate.It's just very, very tightly fitted to the bed of the truck, so we're not going to see any shifting if any at all. But if we do think it's going to shift a little bit, we do have some grippy surfaces on the bottom, and these are just going to kind of just help keep it into place and keep it from shifting and sliding over time. Even if we do get a little bit of water in here, it's still going to hold pretty tightly and just stay into place.So I just want to go ahead and take some time to give you guys my opinion on it. If you guys are one of those who like to just throw your bikes in the bed of the truck, this mat is definitely going to be more forgiving than just a bare bed. Also going to be a lot more forgiving than some of those spray-in liners. You'll probably get a lot of scuff marks and stuff like that over time. And then I would definitely say that this is going to be superior to the drop-in liners, one, just because it is going to be a little bit more grippy. And usually with those drop-in liners, they really don't sit very well. They kind of bubble out and maybe warp over time. This is just going to go in really simply and easily, have a great shape, and fit your bed very, very nicely.And one thing to look at when I look into what I'm going to do with the bed of my truck, usually I would always recommend doing a spray-in liner, but it does get a little pricey and not a lot of people can do that on their own. I know I wouldn't trust myself to do it on my own. This way, you just buy it, you go ahead and cut it out of the packaging, and just in a minute or two, you'll have your whole entire floor of your bed nice and protected. One thing I would add, if we're protecting the floor of the bed of our truck, might as well protect the tailgate as well. And we do have those options here at etrailer as well.Well, everybody that pretty much does it for the DZ truck bed floor mat, and hopefully this video kind of helps you guys understand what benefits you guys are going to get with a floor mat and how it sets it apart from other options that you guys would choose for the bed of your truck. Hopefully, you guys saw how badly scratched this bed is. And hopefully that makes you guys understand that you really do need to protect your bed. Mat is custom fit for your vehicle.I bought the mat for my f 350 dually and really love it spray in bed liners are high. I use a piece of 3/8 plywood to make a pattern to drill holes in mat for 5th wheel hitch and goose neck ball. I then put hitch in truck to make sure I it would work than laid it on the bad mat and drilled the holes worked great now bed is protected at the cost of the mat I bought the hitch open box I sated in my first review it was used my mistake scracthed up a little no problem . I built a table with a flap to go over tail gate to hold hitch and slide it in the bed of the truck do not have to have hoist Thanks etrailer

I needed a bed mat to put my camper on so it would not slide on the spray in liner. This bed mat was exactly as described on the web site and much to my surprise fit perfectly with absolutely NO trimming required!
I really like the rubber bed mat, it provides the needed protection for the aluminum bed. This has much more grip than the Ford spray in liner, items don't slide around

I like the mat, it absorbs all the beating and begging that you throw stuff in the back of your truck, it’s also great to keep things from sliding around you don’t have to worry about it running to the front running to the back it’s great I love it
Stellar product. Although hauling items in the bed isn't my truck's main use, this mat's rubberized texture keeps items in place. The main thing I use my truck for is gooseneck towing, and this mat provides excellent padding for crawling around under the trailer neck to hook everything up. The mat was easy to trim using heavy duty shears to make a hole for the gooseneck hitch and to go around my toolbox. Best of all, you'd think a black mat would be scorching hot in the summer, but the surface has never burned me.

OK Finally got it installed (using for soon to be picked up used lance, got Reese 5th wheel bed rails in truck bed, purchased 14 Pink insulation board to build up and cut to fit bed for flat surface) put bed mat over that. The bed mat is perfect!! Nice fit, Seems very well made! Highly recommenced! Great customer service too! Contacted them to make sure this fit my 2017 F350 Super Crew PSD DRW 8 foot bed.
I am totally pleased with the bed mat. Shipping was super fast. etrailer also refunded some money when I found the same mat cheaper on another site. I order a lot of parts and items for both my utility trailer and my 36 Foot fifth wheel trailer. Great product, fits like a glove in my 2022 F-450 Superduty. Cut the holes for the puck system with a 3 1/2” hole saw. Great fast knowledgeable service from E Trailer.
Mat fit the F-350 perfectly. Seems to be made of rugged material. Is now between the bed of my truck and the truck camper.
Product arrived was packaged very well, look like I will not be installing it any time soon truck bed is full of snow and ice I'll let you know when I get it installed.
