Michael: Hi, there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the SeaSucker HUSKE bike rack. This is a fork mount rack that's going to allow you to carry one bike with a nine millimeter by 100 millimeter quick release skewer. This will work as an add-on or a replacement for your SeaSucker talon, falcon, bomber, and mini-bomber bike racks. It can also just work on its own if you don't have a SeaSucker rack.
Just about any stable, flat surface we'll work with this.You can see we do have the machined openings there for our bolts to pass through, so if you do have a SeaSucker rack, you probably already have the hardware that you'll need to get this mounted in place. If not, the hardware is not included with this, so you will have to provide that for yourself.This does have plastic plugs that quickly snap in so that we can easily change those out if we get a different bike in the future, if we're helping transport a friend's bike or something like that. We do carry several different kinds of plastic plugs there for different size axles. So very easy to switch those out if you are hauling a different bike. I'm making sure that the axle is going to be nice and snug in there so that your bike's not moving around or anything like that.This does have a nice aluminum construction with a black powder coat finish to it, so it is going to be very durable and rust-resistant.
It's also going to give us a weight capacity of 45 pounds, which should accommodate just about any bike out there, so it should do a good job for you. It is made here in the USA, so you can trust it's made to the high quality standards that we've come to know and trust for products that are made here in the US, and it does also come with a limited lifetime warranty, so if you we're to have any problems with it, you could give us a call, we'd be happy to help you out with that.But I really don't think you're going to have any problems. I think this is going to do a good job making sure that your bike gets where you're wanting to go so that you can go out and have fun. So if you are needing a rack for your bike, I'd say this is going to be a great option, very easy to just put your thru-axle there, your skewer through, and put your bike right back on it, be off and rolling.So that's going to complete our look for today. Plugs can be swapped out to carry bikes with different axle sizes.I was having issues finding a fork mount that fit my forks. I tried several other mounts but they didn't seem to sit flush in the dropouts. This mount and the plastic adapters sat perfectly inside my forks. The plastic adapters also seem more forgiving on my carbon forks than the other aluminum mounts. This product is a little more pricey than others, but worth it to have it fit properly.
