Matte black, powder coated steel is durable and corrosion resistant and creates a rugged look.Fabrication is solid, however, finish and attention to detail is severely lacking. The steel mounting plates were not deburred prior to assembly and application of paint finish. Paint is flicking off on edges with burrs so product will expectedly rust. Likewise, item was shipped in a box with nothing to stabilize the item. Box arrived with receiver and mounting plates exposed without protection. More scratches, paint loss and opportunity for rust. Will remove burrs, sandblast and powder coat at my own expense. Pathetic product finishing and delivery.
Received my hitch receiver very quickly and in perfect shape even though the box had two holes from the sides of the hitch sticking through. Looking forward to installing it in the next week, following the video link they provided.

No complaints. Total meets my needs bike and cargo carrier while not sticking out to spoil rear appearance.
The trailer hitch only took a few minutes to install and then attached the bike rack to put the mountain bikes to use.
Arrived in a timely fashion, all hardware and instruction neatly packaged. Quick easy simple installation. Quality product and fit.

Hitch arrived in damaged box, but everything was okay. Followed directions in box had the hitch on a half hour. Little hard getting torque on passenger side. Went on fine.
The delivery occurred quickly (within days) and the install time was short (<1 hour) with the provided bolts on my 2021 Toyota Venza. The delivery company damaged the box so severely that only 3 of 4 bolts arrived; hitch wasn’t damaged nor scratched. The company was diligent to ship a replacement bolt free of charge. Thanks!

Fairly easy to install. Used car jack to position. Not enough clearance on passenger side of Venza to use my torque wrench (even with 3/4" crowsfoot).

Functional piece of equipment. Was easy to install.
Install super easy - took 15 minutes. Rested hitch on a pale to get the front bolts started then used a floor jack to line up back bolts. Hitch mount does not stick out too far at all.

It sounds like the hitch is in rough condition. I will have out Customer Service team reach out to you as quickly as possible. You can re-powder coat it however you can also use a rust resistant paint like Rustoleum to touch it up.
