Solid product at an affordable price. I was able to install on my own just following instructions and buying a few new tools. The hitch hides really well and isn't noticeable. Holds my old bike rack nicely. Have recommended to several friends.
Let’s start with kudos to Jason S in the Q&A section for this hitch - another customer asked if it would fit a 2018 Cruze Diesel Hatchback and he answered that it wasn’t a confirmed fit, but that it was extremely likely that it would fit. I can tell you after installing mine today that he was absolutely right and I can confirm that it does indeed fit the diesel Hatchback. The cutout for the rearmost exhaust hanger doesn’t line up perfectly but it’s not an issue at all (see pic). Instructions were perfect, only issue I experienced was a little difficulty with removing the bumper cover up on the top side where the hatch closes because the upturned shape of the cover there made it hard to get a panel tool in there to help release the retainers but a little jockeying and I got it off without incident. Another GREAT experience with etrailer!
I included a bunch of pictures including the fit with my Thule 990 doubletrack (which is why I bought the hitch) and which was another etrailer purchase a number of years ago ??. I used this same bike rack with the Curt hitch on my 2013 Dart (that hitch was yet another etrailer purchase of mine and BTW I never used the strap, and I never had any issues).
Comparing the two, the DrawTite doesn’t have the extra ring of material around the receiver opening like the Curt hitch does, but the fit of my Thule rack’s receiver bar is much more snug (precise) in the DrawTite than it was in the Curt (but in the end I don’t think it makes much difference because once you tighten the retaining bolt they are both rock solid).
If you have a new Cruze Diesel Hatchback and you’re looking for a hitch for your bike rack (or external cargo tray) this is a great choice, and etrailer is the place to buy it!

Brought a hitch and wiring kit for a DIY a year ago. Was very happy with the communication, price point, and shipping. Installation required removing bumper, lights, wiring, and trimming bumper material. I'm mechanical, but not a body shop guy, and yet the instructions were clear enough that I completed the mount without having to call or ask for help. I've since taken two cross country trips and haven't had any problems. I highly recommend etrailer for all your towing needs.
This hitch was rated a 10/10 in difficulty and I was skeptical in installing this one on my own. After calling around to local hitch shops with prices from $350-$500 installed I decided to take on the challenge myself. The detailed instructions were 100% pin point accurate. I had to remove my bumper of my 2017 Chevy Cruze Hatchback and cut a notch on the bottom of the bumper facia but the measurements in the instructions were perfect and the bumper fit the first time with no additional cutting or trimming. I highly recommend a vibrating multi-tool for doing the cutting - not a utility knife. The fit was absolutely perfect.
We attempted to install it ourselves on my chevy cruse but the instructions were minimal and confusing. Not enough pictures. I tried to scan to get more info and even tried the suggested web site but could never get to the detailed instructions. We finally had it installed by a car body shop. I am still waiting for my bicycle rack so I have not used this hitch yet but it looks great on my car.
Works great. It was easy to install. I've used for a cargo carrier and bicycle rack. It also keeps people from bumping into when they parallel park. Thanks!
The trailer hitch is well made, it was the lowest price I could find, and it was shipped quickly.
Have had it for a year. Works great with my bicycle rack. Seeing a little rust around the receiver area however.

I am very satisfied with the hitch itself, but I'm a bit disappointed with how long it took to install. The documentation said it could be done in around two hours. It took a mechanic friend a little over four hours to complete it.
Easy to assemble,required some modification to the rear fascia but other than that, was very happy. Enjoyed the customer service. did take longer than the estimated time
Delivery was fast and everything fit and went together well. The only issue I had was the paint was beat up in a few spots.
