Draw-Tite's Tested Tough guarantee ensures that this hitch exceeds industry standards. Drawbar sold separately.Hitch installed on 2017 Acura ILX This is a true 10/10 in difficulty on this car. The rear exhaust , heat shield and rear under body panel must be removed first. The heat shield must be trimmed a bit and the under body panel must either be left off or heavily trimmed to refit.
The hitch arrived bent out of true and was off alignment on the drivers side by about 2 inches. Paint was flaking off and was rusted in several areas. After the headache of putting the hitch on and off several times to re-bend the hitch end to get alignment correct it finally hit bolted up. It does not bend easily. I have installed dozens of hitches over the years. This was a extremely tiresome endeavor I would not like to do again. This hitch install completely wore me out. The hitch barely shows from the rear of the car. That’s the one positive thing I’ll say.

Glad you hear you successfully installed your trailer hitch! It sounds like the hitch you received was flexed either in shipping or warehousing. Ive linked a help article that covers some common ways to correct this flex. Ive also linked an article on rust prevention. Its a good idea to touch up any bare metal spots on the hitch with a rust-inhibiting spray paint.
