The holes in the mounting did not line up properly had to send it back waited for a month and a half of this hitch to be sent to me. Will not buy this brand ever again...

Package came as stated and in a timely manner. Once I cleaned up from the old rusted one was able to install this item by myself. Also ordered a new bumper so it’s like have an entire new setup.

My 2004 hitch was shot so I shopped and found e-trailor . I ordered the hitch that would suit my needs . There was a delay because of the location of the hitch . Once e-trailor found the problem they went way out of their way to compensate . The hitch went on the same day it arrived and was just the same as advertised . Great fit & finish. Appears to be more “stout” than original factory hitch. A breeze to install, even on my 182k Wisconsin driven 2500 HD.

- 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500 Short Bed Trailer Hitch Receiver RecommendationI really like the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C14108 for your 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Short Bed because it has a hidden crosstube and is a Class IV rating so it's nice and sturdy for up to 10K trailers or 12K trailers if a weight distribution system is used. You should already have some wiring ran on your truck but to add (or replace) a socket I recommend the Hopkins # HM40975 which installs in the cutout in your bumper.
