Received hitch when promised. Install went fairly easy except had to use a pry bar for the last bolt on right side of bumper. Thought about enlarging hole but opted to pry instead. Also had some paint chips because hitch was loose in box it was shipped in. Overall install went good.

  • Will a Hitch For a 2001 Chevy Silverado Also Fit a 2001 Chevy Tahoe

  • Installing Hitch When Holes Do Not Line Up
I spoke with our installers and they told me that this will happen time to time. They said there are times when the auto manufacturer will have the holes moved just a bit, but they work with them to make it work. They told me that they use a tool they call an alignment tool. It is a steel rod about a foot long that is tapered on one end. They insert it through one of the holes on the hitch and then in one of the holes on the frame to align the holes up. They have someone assist them and...

  • Will Trailer Hitch From 1999 Chevrolet Silverado Fit A 1999 Chevrolet Suburban
The trailer hitch that came off the 1999 Silverado will not fit the 99 Suburban. The structure of the hitch and the mounting flange and holes are different. If you let me know the manufacturer and model of the hitch you bought I can find out what vehicles it will work with. If you need a trailer hitch for your Suburban I recommend part # C13402. This is a Class lll hitch and it has a 2-inch receiver opening. This will fit the new body style that has the amber turn signals. If you plan...

  • Determining Best Weight Distribution System for 2002 GMC Yukon
We have a large selection of weight distribution systems available that feature integrated sway control. The most important factor to consider when choosing the best weight distribution system is the total tongue weight of your towing setup. This number includes both the loaded tongue weight of your trailer, along with any added cargo weight coming from behind the rear axle of your Yukon. Ideally, your total tongue weight will fall somewhere near the middle of the operating range on the...
