Ellen: Hey, everyone. I'm Ellen, here at etrailer.com. And we're going to be taking a quick look at the K-Source Replacement Towing Mirror. Now, this is a great option for those who are going to be towing a lot with their vehicle, but they want to have a nice factory looking mirror to make sure that they don't have any kind of blind spots while they're towing. And it's still going to look really nice and function really well. So this allows us to put a new mirror in place of our OEM mirror and still have the heated function and no obstruction around it from using a universal towing mirror on top of your OEM mirror.

Those can look really clunky and they don't always work, so this gives you a complete replacement of that factory housing, so you can have a totally new mirror on the side of your vehicle and still be able to see what's going on.So, the big thing with this is that it does extend out and it gives you that greater field of view. So, you just push that out. Now, that extends that mirror back, so it gives you a better angle to see what's going on behind you. So, you can keep an eye on your fifth wheel camper, on your pop-up trailer, your utility trailer, or whatever you're hauling, and make sure that you're clear of any other vehicles while you're trying to change lanes, back up, or do any other maneuvers.So, really nice looking mirror, very easy to install. This is just the driver's side.

We do have a kit available with both the driver and passenger side available. That's going to be a related product on the product page here at etrailer.com. So, if you want to find that kit, that would be a great way to go, because you want to have both mirrors matching. But if maybe you already had those mirrors and one of them got damaged or broken, this is going to still be that same mirror.So, let's take a little closer look. Again, it's going to give you that dual mirror function.

So, we'll have our power mirror here that we can adjust with our factory adjustment or our factory controls. And at the bottom, it's going to be a convex spotter mirror to again, eliminate any blind spots. It's easy to push out that mirror or bring it back in whenever you're done towing. As far as the install, it's just going to plug right into the original footprint of your OEM mirror. So, just those three studs, and it does have flange nuts already on there, so you'll just back those off before you put it in place and then tighten them down once it's in the right spot.

And you also want to make sure to plug in the wiring too, before you get everything tightened in.Now, this does allow you to have that electric function, the heat function, and the turn signal on the end, but keep in mind if your vehicle didn't have those functions already, this isn't going to upgrade you. You'd have to have that wiring already in your vehicle for those things to work. So, just keep that in mind, that if you didn't already have the turn signal or the heated function it doesn't get you those functions. So, just something to keep in mind. Now, this does fit the Second Generation Toyota Sequoia and the Toyota Tundra, so that's going to be the '08 through the current year model for the Sequoia and the '07 through current model for the Toyota Tundra.As far as the measurements with this, from where it's mounted to the end of the mirror, whenever it's extended, it's 23 and three quarter inches. Whenever we push it closed or push it back to the regular position, it goes down to 20 inches. It does also have that breakaway function, so if you're in a really tight corner spot or on a one-way street or something like that, you can turn this in. It's going to pivot right at this point, it's kind of hard to do just on the table without it being actually mounted on a vehicle. But it does turn in, so that you can get that tighter spot without damaging your mirror. The mirror face is 10 inches tall by nine inches wide. And again, we have that little spotter mirror at the bottom to help us see what's going on.That's pretty much all there is to it for our look at the K-Source Replacement Mirror.
