Hey, everyone, Shae here with etrailer.com. Today, I have a 2009 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. I'm going to walk through how to install the the K-Source Custom Fit Towing Mirrors. Adding towing mirrors onto your vehicle is going to give you a lot of extra sight distance while you're towing a trailer. Not only are you going to be able to see the backside of your trailer, but it's going to help you when you're parking, passing, or even a couple of lanes over on each side when you're going down the road. Now I'm at the back of the vehicle.
I'm probably another car length plus trailer length behind the trailer that I have on the back of the vehicle. And you can see we have plenty of visibility in our factory mirror, but if I step outside of that, we lose it, the really in the factory mirror, but gain it in the towing mirror. Having the towing mirror, giving us that extra visibility is going to help us when we're parking in tight spaces, trying to pass, or driving down a multi-lane highway. I'm probably two lanes over from the back of the vehicle. You can see we're going to have this extra mirror here, pretty long mirror and it's going to be manually adjustable.
So, we have plenty of room to adjust it, to see way out to the side, closer in. We can even go down and up with it. So, we have plenty of adjustability to give us that extra sight distance that we need. And you can see, as I mentioned, these are going to be custom fit. So, they're going to fit right around our factory mirror housing.
So, it looks nice and clean when they're on. The housing itself is going to be a nice durable plastic. We don't have to worry about weather damage. We don't have to worry about it breaking down from cold weather or heat. It's going to hold up really well in all those weather conditions.
What these being custom fit in a full casing, even though it sticks out a little bit farther than our factory mirror, you can see when we're looking at it from the front of the vehicle it really doesn't look like we have anything on there. It looks like a factory mirror. Even though we had the extended mirrors on, it still allows us to fold our mirrors completely in, again, when we're trying to park in a tight space without making contact with the vehicle. Mirrors are going to come in a set of two. They're going to come with a nice case. It's going to have a separator in the middle, so when we're not using our mirrors or we're not towing, if we want to take them off, we can throw them in the bag. The center spacer keeps them from coming in contact with each other. We can close up the case, toss it under our seats, so they're ready to go for the next time. To start your installation, we're going to take our mirror, if you have a textured mirror like this it's going to come with two pads. You can see these two strips right here. These two pads will go on here, but we're going to do it, we're going to test fit at first. We'll put it on, see if there's any play in it. If we have to, we'll take them back off and we'll throw these on. We'll start at the top. There's going to be two clips and they're going to clip right around the top of the housing on the mirror. And this one is going to come underneath and clip onto the bottom. So, we'll start with the top. You're just going to slide it on like this and then clip it into place. There's a little bit of play there. So, we'll slide it back off. You cab see how easy they are to go on and off. We're going to take the strips that come in the kit or with your mirrors. And we're just going to lay them right over top of the existing strips. And then we'll have two more for the other mirror as well. Once you get the new strips on we're just going to install the same way. You can see we took out a lot of that play. So, as we're going down the road, our mirror is not shaking around like it otherwise would without them. That's going to do it for a Look At and installation on the K-Source Custom Fit Towing Mirrors on the 2009 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited..

the fit is perfect, however, my trailer is wider than my Jeep wrangler, and the mirrors do not help as they are not wide enough to see around the trailer
Others that claim to fit did not, these snapped right on. I've bought from your co several times and it's always been top notch. Your price was the same as other places too.
Not great, the mirror itself jiggles around and makes everything look blurry. The mirror won’t stay positioned and the two sided tape that is inside the mirror housing doesn’t stay stuck so the entire thing is loose on the factory side view mirror. I took it off after a couple of weeks and threw them away. Not worth the hassle and irritation. Good concept, poor execution.
I love these mirrors! They go on easy, are extremely stable, and they are simple to remove... even for those of us with arthritis in our hands.
Custom fit to the Jeep JK mirrors. Easy to snap on and off. image when driving is sufficiently clear. Easily 4 inches wider than the factory mirrors on both sides. Maybe a version with 6 to 8 inches?
Well-made and easy to put on and take off. They look like they came with my Jeep as a factory installation.
These mirrors are easy to use and provide much improved visibility for Jeeps -- they readily clip over the existing mirrors and almost look like they were factory installed. The are also easy to remove when no longer needed. The only negative is that the image can vibrate a bit: we substantially reduced this with some rubber padding on the interior mounts which was an easy fix. The foam tape that comes with the mirrors is useless. If the kit included the padding, I would bump this up to five stars.
Purchasing these Snap-On mirror was an awesome decision - they have worked out perfectly for towing a small camper with my JEEP Wrangler Unlimited. They allow me to see much better, making the whole experience much safer! They fit the stock mirrors very well and I have had them on and off several times, too! I would definitely encourage anyone to use these mirrors, after owning them for a year.
Great product for Jeep mirrors, works well and easy to use.
They snap on very easily, but appear a bit loose. I think they will need some slight modification to snug the up. They do provide some foam spacers to accomplish that, but I have not tried that yet. They look like factory mirrors, but only larger. Nice product.
I purchased it in preparation for trailer life in the summer. It didn’t fit my jeep gladiator. I’m sure its an ok product.

These mirrors are not intended to be a fit for the Jeep Gladiator line. They are a fit for the 2007 - 2017 Jeep Wrangler and the 2018 Jeep JK Wranglers. The mirrors that we have for the Jeep Gladiators are universal mirrors that you can see in the link below.

Nice product. They’re easy on and easy off while providing a good extended field of view. I like the storage bag they came with. I had to apply all three strips of cushion tape to each mirror to decrease vibration, but that was effective enough.
These are by far the best towing mirrors that we have found. Would like them better if they were two inches longer and that the passenger mirror didn't vibrate down while traveling.
Great product. Made towing a travel trailer with my Jeep Wrangler so much safer now that I can see around the trailer.

First thoughts, installs very easily. Fit is a little loose so would rattle pretty bad however it does come with foam strips which should help with that. Comes with a carrying bag, separate compartments for each mirror. Much better than the last mirror extension I tried.

The mirrors seem nice and looked like they would match the existing mirrors but they did not fit my Jeep - 2018 Wrangler JT

These mirrors fit perfectly and installing in under 30 seconds each. The video provided online was right on.
I liked the mirrors but not the hookup, so I have substituted 9-inch bungi cords. Easy to work with and hold the mirrors tight. I accidentally ran them through a car wash and they survived.
Snaps on so easy, looks like factory. Stays firmly attached, good fit & finish..
The product works and fit great but the box came in damaged and taped back together like it had been shipped and returned once before
