500-lb Capacity. Upgrade your Thor Chateau Motorhome's front suspension with these maintenance-free helper springs. Sturdy microcellular urethane springs cushion bumps and help support a heavy load to level your ride and minimize sway. No-drill installation.
Features:
Specs:
A heavy front load can cause front-end sag as your factory suspension compresses under the weight of the load. This means that the front axle is trying to support not only the extra load but also the weight of your vehicle. And because there is less weight on your rear axle, your rear tires make less contact with the road, which causes problems with traction, steering, and braking. SumoSprings upgrade your vehicle's factory suspension to level your vehicle, improve driving performance, and keep your ride comfortable.
SumoSprings provide progressive load control - the more you load them, the stiffer they become. With a lighter load, the springs will compress easily for soft engagement and a less bumpy ride. The closed-cell urethane material allows for smooth contact between the springs and your vehicle. And the springs act like a shock absorber to dampen road vibration.
The springs can also compress by as much as 80 percent to support a heavy front load and to help your factory suspension bear up under the load. This evens out the weight, which levels your vehicle and ensures that your rear tires are making better contact with the road. A level ride means that you have improved driving control, ensures safe headlight aim, and helps to minimize sway. The springs also support your factory suspension, which helps prevent sagging and reduces bottoming out.
The springs work independently from one another to support each side of your vehicle. This action helps to reduce body roll when you make a sharp turn. This also helps compensate for an off-center load.
These microcellular urethane springs are tough. They resist abrasion, oil, salt, and UV rays that can more quickly wear out other springs, and they perform well in temperatures ranging from -25 F to 200 F (-33 C to 93 C).
SumoSprings compress vertically with minimum expansion to the sides, so they won't be damaged by nearby mechanical parts and they fit safely into tighter spots. And unlike air springs, SumoSprings require no maintenance or adjustment.
The helper springs are custom designed to fit your vehicle, and they install easily - no drilling required.

Sturdy microcellular urethane springs cushion bumps and help support a heavy load to level your ride and minimize sway. No-drill installation.Hello, i installed the Sumo springs on my 2020 M/B 2500 pleasure Way camper van 19.5 foot, if you do not want to go in for the full suspension upgrades for 5 to 6 thousand dollars the Sumo spring is a
decent up grade to help with sway, we aren’t off roaders campers
but they work nice in unimproved campsite. I have about 4500 miles on my camper since I installed them which took about a hour. It did raise the camper by about 1/4”.
I just used a floor jack and big flat screw driver for the back and deep well socket for the front ones. Sorry I didn’t take a video or picture. But so far I would recommend the sumo springs it is better then stock bump blocks.
And thanks to etrailer for getting me the right setup
for my camper.
So glad I found these! Best upgrade for my Winnebago Era Touring Van. Simple to install. I only needed a floor jack to get it done. Van doesnt ride like a boat in a storm anymore. Highly recommend for Sprinter vans.
I had to loosen the stabilizer bar in order to install the springs. The stabilizer bar is very tight to the springs. I will be able to see after some driving how much stabilzer bar rubs on the springs. The install was on a 2022 Sprinter 2500.
While traveling we had a fellow Pleasure Way owner tell us about the Sumo Springs. We had them installed in the front and rear. It made a huge difference in driving. The RV does not sway on major highways when going at higher speeds.
Came as shown, easy to install, will see how they work next time out

Worked so well I now have them on another Rv and put them on my power wagon
I had Sumo helper springs installed on my Winnebago Sprinter RV both front and back. It made an amazing difference! It no longer felt like riding in a Conestoga wagon…swaying side to side and bouncing everything to the floor. The ride is now smooth. Driving was easier. Turns are suddenly level instead of feeling like I might turn over. I could not be happier with these products! And it only took 20 minutes to install all four!
This set tightened up the suspension on my Mercedes motor home. Cornering is much better which helps the overall handling. I also replaced the sway bar.
Installed springs on my 2018 thor vegas rv. Haven't got it on the road yet but installation was a snap. I like that they will begin stabilizing and help with ride comfort. Couldn't upload pictures sorry
Easy to install
Smoothed the ride, but it is still a Class C box truck. Sumo Springs alone will not give provide all I want. So far I have added Helwig sway bars and a steering stabilizer. Next stop high end shocks.
Fast delivery, great customer service, overall great experience. The Sumo springs worked great on my Mercedes sprinter reyo rv. Big improvement.
I was a bit skeptical about these springs, but they do seem to help with the sway and rocking in my Sprinter camper van. I added SumoSprings to the back as well. They were a bit more challenging to install (especially in the front), so I had the dealer install them. It took them more time and effort - more than anticipated. Overall though I am happy with this modification.
Improved the ride and handling of my 2008 Sprinter Rv 98% Really made us feel safer when big trucks were passing us
make a big difference with rocking side to side, easy installation approximately 15 minutes start to finish
It's been a year since I bought the SumoSprings and I am very pleased with how they make the coach ride and handle. I bought the softer springs because I wanted a smoother ride over bumps. I installed them and test drove the coach and found it to stiff a ride so I called SumoSprings to see if they made a 3 ring spring which they don't. I than asked if it was possiable to cut 1 ring out and was told it would only void the warranty but would not effect the integrity of the spring, so I did and the coach now has about 3/4" free play and the ride is enjoyable not harsh like it was. I know you cannot modify the springs but this is the best way I found to have a great ride and great handling all in one package. Thanks for opportunity to to explain how it helped.
Easy install; about thirty minutes. It is literally one nut per side. Prep and jacking the vehicle consumes the most time. Seems to be a quality product. Body roll and sway greatly reduced. Basically a much larger bump-stop. This worked well for me, and I think is worth the money.
Great product and easy to install. As always etrailer gave great service, quickly answered questions I had and got the shipment delivered quickly.
I’ve had the Sumo Springs on my 2018 PleasureWay Ascent (2017 Mercedes Sprinter chassis) for a year. Originally I just installed Sumos in the rear, because I was experiencing some bottoming of the stock suspension, which made an improvement, but after about a thousand miles, I installed Sumos in the front, also. That made a further improvement. There is less sway on curves and in crosswind conditions, and there is no bottoming over bigger bumps such as railroad tracks. A benefit I didn’t expect is that I also gained about 5/8” ground clearance.
Overall, I am very pleased. In my view, for suspension enhancements, there is no better bang for the buck than Sumos.

It’s now been two years since I installed the Sumos on my 2018 PleasureWay Ascent 2017 Sprinter chassis. I remain convinced that Sumos are the best bang for the buck suspension enhancement available. I strongly recommend doing both front and rear at the same time—I initially did only the back to counter some bottoming I was experiencing, especially when I carried my Vespa scooter on the back. But after another thousand miles, I installed front Sumos. Overall, the ride was improved, sway was reduced, and although the camper handled fairly well stock, it handles much better with the Sumos in all respects. Plus I gained about 58” clearance. All that, without compromising the ride comfort in any way makes them a really good purchase.
I originally purchased and installed the SSF-106-47 SumoSprings for the front of my 2017 Mercedes camper van. After using the van for a period of time with those springs and consulting with the manufacturer about a few performance issues, I contacted etrailer and requested that they be exchanged for the SSF-106-40 SumoSprings. etrailer willingly replaced the springs and has indicated that they will refund the cost of my original purchase.
Best bang for your buck! If you have a RV just put them on! It's easy. You don't need to look anywhere else because etrailer is the best.
Product was easy to install, I did not have to remove wheels. One note, the instructions claim the nut for the OEM bump stop and the Sumo replacement is 10MM, it is actually 13MM. Because to installation stud is buried in the suspension member, have a magnet handy and a deep 13MM socket. I used a piece of masking tape to keep the nut in the socket while engaging onto hidden stud. First impressions are favourable as I installed this in conjunction with rear Sumo Springs. Noticeable improvement in sway and stability. Low cost high value modification to my Mercedes Spring RV.
I have a 3500 Sprinter RV. Had the SumoSprings installed front and back for $135 at an independent RV service center that also handles RV's. They had never installed them before. I gave them the installation instructions and some advice I learned from some online videos. Sprinter is unloaded at present but notice it handles better going around turns and curves in that it doesn't lean as much and feels very stable. Need to take on a trip to see how it handles when loaded. I noticed a sort of squeakiness I am not sure was there before. I need to drive it more to determine it is from the SumoSprings.
Purchased for a 2008 Winnebago View. Previously installed read Sumo Springs. As usual, Etrailer quickly processed my order, shipped promptly and included very good installation instructions. Installation took about an hour. Adding the from springs eliminated any wobbling or softness in the ride. The buffeting I experienced when a large semi passed me doing over 70 mph is eliminated. A quick fix to an annoying problem. In an aside: the stock "bumpers require a 13 mm or 1/2" deep socket.
These work awesome. Installation took about an hour because finding the right size socket (10mm) to remove the old bumper stop took 45 minutes. No more bouncing and dipping around corners. They also improved and quieted the ride. Well worth the money! Wish I'd put the on the rear, instead of air bags.
Easy to install and saw a difference
The sumo springs work great making a big difference in our converted Sprinter handling and ride.
The folks at etrailer were very helpful in us understanding and purchasing the correct springs.
