Lippert On-the-Go Ladder

Your RV AC has been acting up on hot day on the campsite, and you want to check it out. Or perhaps there are leaves and branches on top of your RV, and you want to brush them off before retracting the slide outs and heading home. In other words, life happens. You never know when you're going to need to access your RV roof during a camping trip. This telescopic ladder has integrated mounting brackets that are specifically designed for RVs that come factory-equipped with the Lippert ladder receiver. The brackets will simply attach to the receiver, which is found on the back of your RV.

If your RV does not have the receiver, you can still use this ladder as a regular telescoping ladder, but only if the ladder makes contact with the top of your RV and not the side.

Easy to Set Up and Use

Lippert On-the-Go Ladder Locking Pins

Whenever you need to do maintenance on your RV roof, simply extend the rungs one by one, and you can do this from the top or the bottom. Each rung has steel locking pins that'll secure it in place when extended upward. This ladder telescopes out at an angled extension that provides better stability than other exterior ladders that permanently mount into a fully vertical position. If you have a shorter RV and don't need to use the entire length of the ladder, you can just telescope the rungs out that you'll need. And whenever you're finished, push the locking pins inward on each rung, starting with the bottom one. The rungs of this ladder retract quickly, so be sure not to pinch your fingers.

Easy to Store

Lippert On-the-Go Ladder Storage

Once the ladder has been fully retracted into a compact size, it'll be very easy to stash away. It's lightweight, and the molded grip handle and Velcro strap make it easy to carry to storage. You can tuck it away and out of sight in a smaller RV cargo compartment, or anywhere else you're able to fit it.

Video Transcript for Review of Lippert RV Ladders - On-The-Go Angled Telescopic Ladder - LC64HD

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a look at the Lippert On-The-Go angled telescopic ladder. Now this portable telescopic ladder is going to allow easy access to your RV roof and exterior for maintenance. This is designed for RVs that are factory equipped with the Lippert ladder receiver but it can also be used on other RVs, as long as it makes contact with the top of the RV and not the side. Now I have this fully retracted and the fully-retracted height is gonna be 33 1/2 inches. And at its widest point, we are sitting at 19 inches and this does feature deep foot rung steps that are gonna provide increased traction while climbing. So the rung width is gonna be right at 1 1/2 inches.

Now this is constructed from aluminum, so this is very lightweight, it's about 25 pounds, so it's gonna be very easy to transport, yet it is strong with a weight capacity of 330 pounds. And speaking of ease of carry and transport, it does have a comfortable grip that's going to allow a comfortable handle for your hand when you're transporting this, then also molded rubber feet that's gonna prevent the legs from sliding. It's gonna add grip to various surfaces. Now this does have a hook and loop strap that you can see here. That's gonna secure the ladder during transport and this also has strong steel locking pins on every step.

That's gonna give you more control when extending and retracting your ladder. I just wanna give you a brief demonstration of how this locks and how you can know that it is locked and secured. I'm just gonna bring up this first step. And if you would take a look at these buttons here when I bring up this first step, when there is no gap between the button and the spar, then that means that the steel locking pins are engaged and this step is locked into place. I'm gonna do it with this next one here and just bring this up.

And as you can see, no gap, and we are locked into place. You see these gaps here along the sides of these other ones. That means that those steps are not locked into place. Now the telescopic extension is going to allow for multiple heights. The full extended length is gonna be 12 feet, 6 inches, giving you a reach of about 14 feet, 4 inches.

And to fully extend the ladder, there's really no wrong way to fully extend the ladder. It's probably the easiest to just start with the top rung and keep building up, put your foot here on the bottom rung and just keep lifting and it'll lock into place as you go. Now, when you're ready to retract the ladder, it's probably the easiest to start from the bottom and watch your fingers as well. So push in on the buttons and it's gonna start coming down. And then I just wanted to show you this other way. If you decide to build from the bottom, you can do that. Put your foot on the bottom rung and then start building up. And then it is going to lock into place as you start building up, and then to retract it, you push this in, and again, it is noisy and you do wanna watch your fingers, especially on this last one. And then it will close and retract. I did climb on this earlier. I don't have a whole lot of room here in my studio, but I felt that the ladder was very stable, very secure, and I think it's gonna be good to have to keep in the bottom of your RV if you don't have the wherewithal to attach it on there it's gonna take up very little space. I think it's gonna be very secure and very handy to have if you need to get to the top of your RV. Well, I think that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..

I bought this ladder about a yr. ago and glad I did. It replaced a six foot step ladder I straped to my rear roof ladder. I now can keep the collapsing unit in my trunk. It's tall enough to get on the roof of my fifth wheel. Also very sturdy. I would buy again.

shipment was delivered on time and all items were functional. a couple of the boxes were damaged but given that it was a hitch that weighted about 100 lbs, it was fine.

by:

Well built, perfect fit for a RV

by:

used the ladder to do work on my rv. laddder worked great no issues.

by:

Great product at a fair price. I knew that before I bought it because I had used it previously. Took way too long to ship it.

Love my new ladder

Great ladder and the only 300 lb. rated one I could find. All my HVAC-R techs use this ladder for safe rooftop access, and it fits inside their service van.

And the etrailer.com processing & shipping is crazy fast. I ordered it Monday afternoon and it was delivered Tuesday afternoon.

by:

It is easy to store. I can carry tools and parts to the roof of my 36' RV much better than the vertical factory ladder.

by:

etrailer just never disappoints The ladder I ordered was delivered earlier than I expected, which is a good thing. The ladder was more expensive than some of the cheap stuff I found on Amazon, but as my dad always said, "you get what you pay for." The Telestep ladder really is of high quality and is easy to use especially after watching the etrailer video on using the ladder. I highly recommend etrailer.com for RV related items.

Great product. I deliver new boats works great to fix torn tarps

by:

Great products and service

by:

I love the ladder. I’m over 260 lbs and feel comfortable on it. My 5th wheel rv did not have an integrated ladder and this is an ideal substitute. The only complaint I have is that the rubber bumpers on the top of the ladder are not larger. I sometimes do not extend it fully and the top two steps will hit the rv and possibly scratch the paint. If the rubber bumpers at the top were 2x larger this would be the perfect ladder.

by:

This ladder is the tallest and only 300 lb. rated I can find. Very compact for a work van, yet tall & sturdy enough to reach most any job. etrailer always has crazy fast shipping to.

by:

Excellent ladder. Certainly better and safer than the attached ladder. If you have slide outs it a good idea to sweep them off before retracting. Easy up and easy down. Not too heavy and doesn't take up much room. I am very glad I invested in this ladder. Definitely recommend. Very quick shipping and fantastic service from etrailer as usual.

by:

Sturdy and easy to operate. Just what I need at age 77. I'm no longer climbing on top of my house but still need the tools to allow me to clean my gutters. The Telesteps Telescopic Ladder -12-1/2' Extended Height - 16' proved to be the exact tool I needed.

by:

I've used the Telesteps ladder to wash & wax the Airstream trailer, to get on to my house's roof to blow off tree debris, to get high enough to reach redwood branches that I can then climb to prune-out higher dead branches or those that might damage the roof during a storm. etrailer receives orders and gets them shipped very efficiently. I have never been disappointed with their service even when I discover the item doesn't work for my application and I request a return.

by:

Greatest ladder I've tried. Excellent quality. Perfect compact size for storage in my pickup with tonneau cover. I can now service my solar panels and see/reach everything on my 25'FC AirStream with 3" lift.

by:

Exactly what I've been looking for light weight easy to store and supports my weight. Thanks again!

by:

Just what I was looking for.

by:

I want to first say that etrailer.com service is first rate. Delivery was fast and the packaging was excellent. I have a fiberglass (gelcoat) travel trailer. I purchased this ladder along with the optional standoff to provide me with a way to access the top of my trailer (no fixed ladder). I have NOT used the ladder yet but I'm confident that it will do exactly what I need it to do. The ladder is very "beefy" and sturdy and yet the weight is not extremely heavy. My trailer does not have a tremendous amount of storage space so I predict this ladder will be something I only use when I am home. But, as I said this is because my trailer is limited on storage space. Operation of the ladder (extending and collapsing) is very smooth and easy and is quick to master. I will mention that since my trailer is currently parked in my back yard (not on paving) I will probably place a board or paving stone under it to prevent the legs from sinking into the ground. But I think the ladder is great... I'm happy.

  • Are Mounting Brackets Available For The Lippert Telescoping Ladders
I spoke with Lippert about the mounting brackets for the Lippert On-The-Go Telescopic Ladder # LC64HD and found out that they are only sold as an OEM part. This means that only the motorhome/trailer manufacturer is able to order them so you wouldn't be able to get them aftermarket through anyone else. Going that route would most likely cost you quite a bit so you could try reaching out to a local fabricator to build you the mounting brackets since there's nothing really special to them.

  • How To Prevent Scratches When Using Lippert On-The-Go Angled Telescopic Ladder
I recommend using foam tubular pipe insulation on the top rung of your Lippert On-The-Go Angled Telescopic Ladder, # LC64HD if you are concerned with possible damage/scratches to your motorhome. The rung is 1-1/2" so you will want to purchase something per this measurement.

  • What Height Ladder Is Needed For a Valeigh Beacon 34RLB 5th Wheel
From what I could find on your Valeigh Beacon 34RLB 5th wheel it is 13'1" tall (13.08). The Lippert On-The-Go Telescopic Ladder # LC64HD you were looking at is only 12-1/2' tall, so it would not be tall enough to reach the top of your 5th wheel. That is the only Lippert On-The-Go ladder that we currently have available. However, we do have the Telesteps Telescopic Ladder # TE74FR which is of a similar style but has a height of 14-1/2' extended which is enough to reach the top of your 5th wheel.

The Telesteps Ladder Standoff and Tool Tray # TE89FR is specifically designed to fit on Telesteps ladders like # TE44FR which have the oval vertical uprights. The uprights on the Lippert On-The-Go Telescopic Ladder # LC64HD are round and will not allow for the

  • Are Replacement Brake Pads Available For A 2020 Grand Design Solitude
Brake assemblies have left and right hand orientations so it'd important to ensure you're choosing the correct parts for your assemblies. We do offer the BP04-171 with part # K71-673, but we don't currently offer the BP04-172. The brake pad itself isn't really offered so you'd have to replace the entire brake shoe in both assemblies, which is a giant pain if you don't have the right tools and experience so I highly recommend just replacing the entire assembly and saving yourself a ton of...
