Need extra light over your RV kitchen sink for when you do the dishes? Or perhaps you need to upgrade the dim, old lights in your travel trailer? This dome light has cool white LEDs that give you brighter light underneath a kitchen cabinet, in a walkway, in a closet, or inside your enclosed trailer. And the sonically sealed housing and lens are waterproof so water won't leak in and damage the LEDs.
LEDs are more energy efficient, last longer, and burn brighter than lights with incandescent bulbs. You won't have to worry about replacing bulbs that have brittle filaments. And because LEDs draw minimal power, the light won't drain your battery, overload your circuits, or produce too much heat.
Surface-Mount, Bolt-On Installation is Easy
This surface-mount dome light is incredibly easy to install as an upgrade or direct replacement of your existing light. Using hardware (not included), bolt the housing onto the ceiling, wall, or cabinet. The light wires to a switch inside your RV and hooks up to ground (white wire) and power (black wire).

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a look at this Opti-Brite LED RV Dome Light. Now this is a low profile rectangular dome light that's designed to illuminate an RV's interior with a bright white light. I currently have this hooked up to the 12 volt power, just to show you what this looks like lit up. And with my studio lights on, you can see just how bright it is.
I'm gonna go ahead and turn my studio lights off to give you a better idea what this looks like in low light conditions. I'm going to go ahead and zoom out and shine this on the wall behind me. LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights. They last up to 50 times longer. They are more energy efficient, providing brighter light with less power output, and there's no bulbs to replace, no brittle filaments.
And you can see, even with my studio lights on, just how bright that this light continues to be. Now, this features a durable, clear polycarbonate lens over 10 white LEDs with a sonically sealed waterproof housing and lens. The durable surface mount technology construction of the LED circuit board better withstands shock and vibration and allows for improved heat distribution. Now, this is a steel housing, so this is a very durable light. And again, the surface, it's surface mount, but it is important to note that the hardware is not included.
So that's some that you would have to source locally. This is compatible with 12 volt DC systems. The power draw at 12.8 volts is 0.33 amps. And let me go ahead and give you some overall measurements. The overall width of this light is gonna be sitting right at 5 3/4 inches.
And then looking at how tall this light is, line this up here for you. We're gonna be sitting at right at about 2 3/4 inches. And then the thickness, and that's including here in the middle, probably the thickest point where that lens curves out a little bit, we're sitting right at about 3/4 of an inch thick. Go ahead and give you the distance between the mounting holes. You're gonna have four mounting holes, a hole at each corner. And starting horizontally center to center, we are gonna be sitting right at, looks like we'll be sitting right at 4 13/16 inches horizontally center to center. And then vertically, we're gonna be sitting right at about an inch. Line that up a little bit better here. Looks like we're sitting right at an inch and 13/16 vertically center to center. Installation was on me, and easy, so I was able to check the performance quality almost immediately and found it to be excellent.
