Hi, everybody. My name is Andy with etrailer.com. And today we're taking a look at Coghlan's Chrome-Plated Steel Camping Grill. If you're looking for a lightweight, portable camping grill to take with you on your next camping or backpacking adventure, I might have just the right item for you. Let's take a closer look at it. This grill is perfect for backpackers or campers looking to save space in their pack.
And as you can see, it does provide surface for pots and pans, coffee pots, and kettles to sit over a campfire. So you could cook a meal here, boil water, or do one of my favorite things, brew coffee. Now the chrome-plated steel is easy to clean and it will resist rust and corrosion. And, as you can see, the legs fold for compact storage when it is not in use. Now, I would recommend that since these legs do not have a fastener to keep them together, it might not hurt to have maybe something like a zip tie or maybe a hook and loop strap, just to kind of wrap around this.
This will keep the legs secure while it's in your pack, and you don't have to worry about these legs opening up or moving around in whatever way you have this stored, whether it's in a backpack or some other way that you have it stored during your trip. Now, as I said, the legs do fold for compact storage and they're open and closed without any problem whatsoever. And while we're here, let's take some measurements. The overall length of the grill itself is sitting, I'm gonna say at about, 12 3/4 inches long. And then the grill surface itself is a little bit shorter than that.
So if we're looking at just the grill surface itself, we're looking right at about a foot long. And the overall width of the grill, we're sitting right at about 6, 6 3/8 inches wide. And then when you have the legs unfolded, the overall height is sitting right at about a little over 7 inches, maybe 7 1/8 inches tall. Now, again, this is a very lightweight grill. The idea is just to where it's very light in your pack.
You hardly feel it. I don't think it would take a whole lot of weight in regards to pots and pans. So if you're looking for more of a heavy-duty option camping grill to take with you, may I recommend taking a look at Coghlan's Heavy Duty Camping Grill. That's a little over 16 inches wide and 24 inches long. So it's a little bit bigger than this. You can find that on our website, item number CG53FV. Well that will conclude our look today at Coghlan's Chrome-Plated Steel Camping Grill. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me..
