Buyers Products 10 Ton Combination Hitch combines both a ball hitch and pintle hook in one product. It allows you to pull loads that have either a coupler or a drawbar/pintle ring without having to change hitches. This hitch is ideal for contractors, tradesmen and haulers who tow a range of medium duty loads, e.g., ditch diggers, skid steers and other similar equipment. The hitch comes with a 2" hitch ball, is bolt-mounted (drilling template included), and includes a mounting kit.

Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the 10 Ton bolt on combination hitch with the 2" ball and the mounting kit. Now, this 10 Ton combination hitch will combine both a ball hitch, and a pintle hook in one product. It will allow you to pull loads that have either ball coupler, or a drawbar/lunette ring, without having to change hitches. It has a very easy use latch. Single piece drop forged lower jaw. It comes with the forged 2" diameter steel hitch ball is included.
It can be interchanged with a 2-5/16" diameter hitch ball, which we do sell separately on our website. This part is a durable corrosion resistant black powder coat finish. Forged steel construction. This part is ideal for contractors, tradesmen and haulers, who tow a range of medium duty loads like ditch diggers, skid steers, and other similar equipment.The hitch is a bolt on installation. It does come with the mounting kit.
It comes with some details instructions with the specs in it, a drilling template, and a vehicle capacity decal. The maximum gross trailer weight capacity is 20,000 pound. Maximum vertical load or tongue weight capacity is 4,000 pounds. I do want to give you a few dimensions on this. We're going to start with the baseplate.
The width on the baseplate is right at 4 3/4". The height on it is going to be right at 3 1/2" tall. The total depth of this from the very back of the base to the very end here is going to be right at 7 1/2".Then just to show you how this latch works, what you would do is remove your snapper pin, or safety pin. It is on this chain, so you don't lose it. Then all you have to do is pull out on this latch.
Let me see if I can get a good grip on it. What you can do it pull out, and then just swing the arm up. Just like that, it will stay open. Then you can hook up your coupler or your lunette ring. If you hook up your lunette ring, all you have to do then is just push this back, and it will automatically lock into place. Very simple, just like that. Then once you're locked in, just take your snapper pin or your safety pin here. Run it through the holes. Then clip it into place, and it's locked. You're all ready to go. But that should do it, for the review on the 10 Ton bolt on combination hitch with the 2" ball, and the mounting kit.

This is a great combination pintle, ball hitch. Just what we needed for our dump truck to pull our dump trailer 14k with a pintle hook as well as our 10k ball hitch trailer. Very happy with this purchase.

We’ve had this hitch for a year now and it has given us good service. We tow a 20 ton trailer hauling an excavator regularly and the hitch performs well. etrailer.com has excellent customer service also. Would highly recommend.

This was my first time ordering with etrailer and I can’t believe how fast I received the products (2days!!) and with free shipping as well . The products are top quality and as described online . The only thing I would add is that I ordered a trailer pintle hitch and a drop mount , and neither one had the bolts to mount the two together nor did I see it offered for sale as a “kit” to be purchased . That would be a nice compliment to add to the package .

Developed quite a bit of surface rust not long after installation on surfaces not in contact with trailering. Safety pin does not pass through hitch in open position like all my other pintle hitches. If connected to ball hitch, the pin hangs from chain until it falls off.

the pintle hitch is well built, got it in only a few days, i will be pulling a ten ton 25 foot 8 wheel trailer with a bobcat and other equipment.
so i need heavy duty stuff. everyone make sure you buy grade 8 bolts and assemble your hitch. there are only 4 bolts that holds all that weight behind your rig. very satisfied with the product.
