Video Transcript for Review of Trimax Locks Padlocks - 3 Stainless Steel Padlocks with Shielded Shackles - TMX48ZR

Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at these Trimax stainless steel padlocks. This set is going to give you three of these two and a half inch diameter shielded padlocks that help protect your gear from theft. These do you have these shielded three eighths inch diameter case hardened steel shackles that will protect against bolt cutters. Then the armored plated key cores resist picking and drilling.

You are going to get two keys per padlock, that will allow you to operate the padlock. You can just simply twist it, open it up, and then you can close it like so. But these are all three keyed alike, so the same set of keys will work for all three of your locks. So you really only have to keep a couple keys on hand if you're going to be using these all in the same location. The other two sets can be used as backup in case you we're to lose your keys.

The stainless steel bodies are corrosion resistant so they are gonna last you a nice long time. These do come with a limited lifetime warranty. So if you we're to have any issues you're more than welcome to reach out to us here at etrailer.com. But I think these are gonna do a really good job for you. I've used a similar style lock in the past for my storage shed.

Always had great results with it. So I think these will do a great job for you. That completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching..

I hate to hear that these locks rusted after a year. I wanted to see if you would be willing to send over pictures to show where it rusted? I would like to look into it further for you.

@Denis I hope you are keeping warm. I did hear back from the manufacturer today. They advised that the rust and corrosion that you are seeing is not typically covered under warranty. Because it looks like just the shackle portion of the lock is showing rust you should be able to use WD-40 along with a wire brush [or steel wool] to clean it off. Then from time to time clean and lubricate it to maintain the locks along with their functionality.

Wanted a set of three with the same key. Seems a little less sturdy and a bit lighter than others of this type that I had purchased in the past but they should do what they are intended for.
