Video Transcript for Review of Risk Racing Motorcycle Tie Downs - Lock-N-Load Dirt Bike Anchoring System - RR83QP

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a look at this Risk Racing Lock-N-Load Dirt Bike Anchoring System. This dirt bike transport system is going to let you secure your bike in your trailer with these jaws that are going to clamp down on the foot pegs of your bike. Now, the benefit of this system is that you can secure your bike without the need for tie down straps, floor anchors, or wheel chocks. But an additional benefit is this is also going to reduce the pressure on your fork seals by distributing the pressure to your bike's front and rear suspension. Now, I'd like to give you just a brief demonstration of how this is going to work.

So, once you have this installed on your trailer floor, you're going to twist these knobs here to the locking position. So, let me go ahead and do that here real quick. And then, once you have those in the locking position, you're going to roll your bike in between these posts and you wanna make sure that you line up your foot pegs in these jaws here. You know, once you have your bike in place, I would recommend sitting on your bike just to compress your suspension system on your bike just a little bit. And then, you can just use your foot and push down on the jaws.

And as you can see that's going to lock the jaws right in place. And so, your bike is now going to be held secure by this system. And then, this does have an additional benefit of just adding an extra step, extra layer of security with these safety pins. You can just run these pins through the holes here at the bottom of the posts. And then you're gonna be good to go and you're ready to safely transport your bike.

Now, I'm putting a photo there on your screen just to show you what a system like this is going to look like installed in your trailer and safely securing your bike into place. Now, when you're ready to remove your bike and you're ready to hit the trail or the road, you just basically going to reverse the process here. So, I'm gonna go ahead and remove our safety pins and then you're going to twist these knobs to the unlocked position, just like that. And then all you have to do is push down ever so slightly on the jaws, and then that's going to allow you to safely back your bike out and you're gonna be ready to roll. Now, this is going to fit most motocross bikes or full size motocross bikes rather, or bikes with a similar geometry.

And this is gonna work with bike widths from 18 inches to 20 inches wide and a foot peg height from 15 inches to 17 1/2 inches. And this has a maximum weight capacity of 315 pounds. Now, you can remove the posts from our mounting plates quickly by loosening these hand knobs. So, if you need some additional space in your trailer and you're not needing to haul your bike, you can just loosen up these hand knobs. And then, that's going to allow you to quickly remove them from the mounting plates that you have installed on your trailer floor. So, that's going to be a very easy operation. And then, when you're ready to haul a bike, you can just easily drop these posts on the mounting plates, tighten up with the hand knobs, and you're good to go. Now, you're probably wondering what these D rings are for. Since you're going to keep these mounting plates installed on your trailer floor, they haven't included D rings here, just so you have additional anchor points on your trailer floor. So, that's a nice feature. So, these mounting plates will still have a use if you would like to use those D-rings when you're not using this to support your, you know, these posts here. So, that's a nice additional feature. Speaking of these plates, I measured them before our time together and the overall length from the end of the D ring all the way to the opposite side here, we're sitting at about 14 inches long. They're about 2 1/4 inches wide. And these plates are gonna sit about 5, 16, 7 inch up off of your floor. So, they're low profile. Now, this is constructed of a sturdy steel construction with a black powder coat finish. And it weighs about 20 pounds so it's a pretty robust system. And this is going to include all the mounting hardware that you are going to need to successfully install this in the floor of your trailer. Now, if you would rather install this in your truck bed to haul your motorcycle in your truck bed, that option is available. You would just need to pick up the truck bed adapter plates that will work with this mounting system. And if you're interested in checking those plates out, on your screen, I am including our item number for you. You can just take that item number and put it in the search field of our website, and that will take you to those truck bed adapter plates that will work with this system that will allow you to mount this into your truck bed and you can add those to your order, if you so desire. An instruction sheet is included to walk you through the pretty simple installation process. And that's going to conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
