Today, we're going to take a look at the Curt 600 Series Goose Neck Insulation Kit for Dodge trucks. This is a custom fit part, it is designed to fit the 2009 and newer, Dodge Ram and Ram 1500 series trucks and it works either on the 6 foot bed or the 8 foot bed models. On a custom fit product, I always like to recommend to go to our website, use our fit guide, put in your year and model vehicle and it will show you if this will work for your application. Now for this video, I have installed some of the pieces together just to show you what it looks like when it's assembled. The only thing missing would be the goose neck hitch, which would fit right in the center here. This part would bolt to the one side of it and this would bolt to the other side of it. Now this kit will include all of the necessary components for installing that Curt under-bed goose neck hitch on your specific pickup truck model. It is designed to work with 3 different Curt under-bed hitches.
We do sell all 3 of those separately on our website. The first one it works with is the Curt double lock flip and store goose neck hitch. The next one is the Curt quick goose 2 goose neck hitch and the last one is the Curt under-bed folding goose neck hitch. All 3 of those will work with this installation kit. This is a vehicle specific design, so it does optimize strength and installation time. It is constructed from a high strength steel.
The parts are protected by a rust resistant liquid bonder coating. It does include all the hardware and a nice set of detailed installation instructions. The hardware that's included that I use is all grade A mounting hardware. There is no welding or frame drilling required when installing this and the truck bed does not need to be removed for installation. These parts are all made in the U.S.A. One last note, I want to let you know that the weight capacity on this installation kit will be determined by that of the vehicle that it goes on.

Install your new Curt gooseneck trailer hitch with this vehicle-specific kit. Designed for use with the Double Lock; Quick Goose 2; or Underbed, Folding system.I bought this in conjunction with the Curt Double Lock Flip and Store. One thing that I thought would be helpful was the template for locating the 4 inch hole in the bed. The first template was bent due to poor packaging or poor handling of the package by the shipper and the replacement was delivered in good shape - problem is the template(s) are sized wrong and CANNOT BE USED.
The first set of bars that were delivered had a problem with the threads in a couple of places - not just paint in the threads. E-Trailer immediately replaced both bars along with the template and a couple of new bolts.
I did the install with the truck sitting on the ground which made things difficult - mainly lifting and installing the center section and having enough room to use the torque wrench (110 lbs on the small bolts and 210 lbs on the larger bolts).
So.... 4 stars - because of a couple of quality issues and incorrect size of the template as well as packaging.

Easy to install on my 2014 gmc sierra 3500 4x2 crew cab long bed. It positioned the ball a little bit further forward than I was expecting but everything lined up great with the curt double lock gooseneck and truck frame holes.
I've had it for about a year now and it has worked flawlessly.
Great product and a great company! This is my second Curt gooseneck hitch from etrailer.com and both have installed easily and worked well.
Fit my 2012 GMC 2500 as advertised. Had professional look when completed. Took me about 5 hours by myself, for complete install. With some minimal help the time would have easly been less than 4. Installing the U-bolt springs took the longest. (Short arms didn't help) should be an included tool to hold washers and springs together.
Thumbs up to service department, box came ripped open and one part missing, emailed CS and had my part in two days. Very happy with my experience.
While the Curt Gooseneck Installation Kit and Quick Goose are a well built product, I'd like to comment on your service at etrailer.com. I am very impressed with your very competative pricing but mostly with the service I received. Love the hitch better than B&W! Install was easy on 2004 3500 Duramax. Had shipping ussues, but that was UPS fault, not Etrailer. Good experience
Easy to install following instructions. Didn't have to loosen bed or mod anything on my 01 f-250. I put the rear cross member in front of rear tire and used a hammer to tap it back into position. I love e trailer and will definitely be using them again!
When we first received our shipment, the box was torn, punctured, and severely damaged. There was also hardware missing. The customer support staff went above and beyond to make everything right. Even through the holidays. Will definitely do business with them again.
