Video Transcript for FloTool Tools - Vehicle Tools - FT10803 Review

Today we're going to review the FloTool Multi-Purpose Transfer Pump. This part will include everything shown here on the table. It includes the transfer pump itself with the intake nozzle at the top, the discharge nozzle at the bottom. It includes the two transfer hoses. It includes the air hose. It includes the length of dipstick tube hose, the blower nozzle, the inflator nozzle, tube connector and two hose connectors. This multi-purpose transfer pump will help easily siphon or pump any liquid and can also be used as an air pump or a blower.

This can be used a standard siphon to transfer liquid using the hose connectors and the transfer hoses. I'll show you that first. Basically, here's your hose connectors and your two hoses. What you want to do is your hose connector will have a small opening and a large opening. You'll take one end of the transfer hose 00:00:47, put it into the smaller opening, push your hose through, and then just go ahead and push your hose onto the in-take and then push the connector on. It will hold it into place.

Take the other hose. You'll do the same thing. Put it into the smaller opening. Run your hose through into the discharge port at the bottom here, and then push your hose connector on. That will hold it into place. Now with both hoses connected, when you pump this, you'll have your top hose into your liquid you're wanting to siphon, and the bottom of discharge into a container where you want to put it into.

The thing you have to remember is you won't always have the intake hose above the discharge, so basically when you start pumping it, gravity automatically is 00:01:27 keep it flowing so you won't have to keep pumping it all the time. Now, if you want to use it to change your oil, you can use this pump and then the dipstick tube hose. Basically, what you'll do is put this dipstick tube hose into this tube connector and you'll put it into the larger end, just like that. We'll go ahead and put that in there. Then what you'll do is put the tube right into the .. You insert this tube connector, the other end, into the intake nozzle, which is the top one, just like that.

With it inserted into there, you'll take this length of tube, run it down the engine dipstick tube until it reaches the bottom of your crankcase. Once that done, you'll take the discharge hose at the bottom, put it in the container, and as you pump this, it will take your oil out of your crankcase and put it into the container. That's an easy way of changing your oil without getting all messy. Then the last thing is I'm going to show you is how to use it as an air pump or a blower. We'll go ahead and take these parts out of there, and we'll go ahead and take the connectors and the hose off the pump. If you want to use this as an air pump or a blower, basically what you'll do is take this air hose. There's a spring end here and a non-spring end. Take the non-spring end. Put it into the smaller end of the connector again, and then you'll insert this into the discharge, which is the bottom. Put the hose in and then put the connector and push it in, and then you'll have this just at the bottom. Then what you'll want to do is insert the . For pumping it, you can insert this inflator nozzle right into the spring end, just like that. Put this into whatever you're wanting to blow up, and as you pump it, you'll be able to inflate tires or anything else. Just attach this to the valve you need it to. If you want to use it as a blower, all you have to do is take this blower nozzle, put it into the very end right here, and then as you pump it, it'll allow you to blow air and use it as a blower. It has many multiple uses. That should do it for the review of the FloTool Multi-Purpose Transfer Pump.

I used it for pumping out water in my rv hot water heater. Worked great!

This pump works excellent. Very easy to get the suction hose into the gasoline tank, it is the right size, stiffness, and yet flexible. It seems odd that it sucks into the top and pumps out the bottom, but the tank being pumped into is lower so that probably makes sense. After a few pumps to get gasoline flowing it continues at a good rate by siphon alone. When the pump came in the packaging the hoses were kinked but after being out of the package for a while the hoses are just fine.

The pump works great. The hoses are a little to curly. I use it to transfer Roundup from one container to another. to cleanup i pump a bucket full of hot soapy water onto a graveled area in my driveway.

by:

Excellent tool for what I needed and use it to pump out gas from my generator and snowblower

by:

The instructions on how to put it together sucks but I love my product

by:

  • What is the Transfer Rate for FloTool Transfer Pump
The FloTool Multipurpose Transfer Pump # FT10803 is a small pump to get a vacuum started and let gravity assist to siphon the fluid, so it is not rated with any pressure, or flow rate. The amount of time it takes depends on the volume of water your trying to transfer.

  • How are Inlet and Outlet Hoses Connected on FloTool Transfer Pump # FT10803?
The FloTool Multipurpose Transfer Pump # FT10803 is not rated for pressure. It has the inlet hose at the top of the pump and the outlet hose as the bottom. They are not threaded but simply a press fitting. I've attached a video to assist. This is a very simple pump that will create a vacuum to let gravity assist with the transfer of fluid. It can also be used as a small air pump for light function like inner tubes of a bicycle or even a small vehicle. This is an entry level tool that...

  • Can I Use External Gas Tank With the A-iPower 2,000-Watt Portable Inverter Generator
I contacted A-iPower and the A-iPower 2,000-Watt Portable Inverter Generator part # 289-SUA2000i is not really designed to be used with an external tank so you may need to use some type of pump like part # FT10803 to manually siphon the gas from the external tank to the generator. We do not sell anything automatic that I can recommend.
