Speaker 1: Today we're gonna take a look at the 12 LED low profile surface mount strobe light with the clear lens, and amber and clear LEDs. Now this strobe light is installed into an aluminum base, has an IPX8 waterproof rating, it is designed to fit into tight spaces 'cause of it's 3/8th inch thick low profile design.Common use for this light is pickup trucks, work trucks or trailers. It has a black aluminum base with the clear lens, and six clear and six amber LEDs. Now only do LEDs make great replacements for incandescent lights 'cause they'll last about 50 times longer and are more efficient 'cause they'll provide brighter light with less power output. Of course no bulbs to replace, so no brittle filaments to break.This light does offer 25 different flash patterns and simultaneous or alternating function. If you notice, it uses a blunt cut wire connection.

You can see the wire length back here is about 9-1/2 inches long, comes with four wires on the inside, a black wire which is your ground, the red which is your power, the yellow which is synchronization and flash patterns, and the white is for low power operation. This is a surface mount design, has the two holes right here, it includes the foam gasket when you install it and the mounting screws.Does use 12 LEDs, the voltage is 12-24 volts, amperage is 1.56 amps at 12 volts. What we're gonna do now is gonna give you some dimensions on this light, then we're gonna hook it up to 12 volt power just to show you how bright it is and then the different flash patterns. So measuring it, if we go with length end to end, it's gonna be right at 4-1/2 inches long. The height from the bottom to the top is right at 1-3/4 inches tall, and as we mentioned the depth is only going to be 3/8 of an inch deep.So what we're gonna do now is take our black wire, we'll hook up our black wire, which is the ground, and then we'll hook up our red wire, which is your power wire, and I'm gonna turn it on with those two hooked up and it'll show you how bright the light is and then the flash pattern.Now the other two wires, the white wire would be used for low power operation, the yellow wire, what I'm gonna do with the yellow wire is that's for synchronization and flash patterns.

Basically what I'm gonna do with that is with the light on, I'll touch this yellow wire to the red power wire and that'll change your flash pattern to a different flash pattern or reset it. So each time you touch it, it'll reset to a different flash pattern, so that's how you'll choose your 25 different flash patterns. Then once you choose your flash pattern, if you want use this with multiple lights just like this, and you want them all to flash in sync, what you can do is they all have yellow wires on it, then you'll hook the yellow wires all together and that'll give you the synchronization of the flash pattern.So what I'm gonna do now is just turn on the power, now you can see the flashing and how bright it is. I'll go ahead and turn on the overhead lights, and you can see how bright it is using the 12 LEDs. Then I'm gonna take that yellow wire I mentioned and touch it to the power wire and you're gonna see how it changed to a different pattern, touch it again, changed to another pattern.

One more time, and again, there's 25 different flash patterns, so each time you touch it, it'll reset it to whatever pattern, once you get the pattern you need, then you can wire it up that way.So I'll go ahead and turn back on our overhead lights, turn off our power.
