Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this ComeUp Seal Gen2 Off-Road Electric Winch. This is a premium recovery winch that is going to allow you to pull your stuck vehicle up steep inclines, out of mud, water, snow, or a ditch. Now, my first impressions of this winch, it is very heavy duty. I consider myself a very strong individual, and even I have a really hard time picking this up. This is 140 pounds, so it is going to be very beefy for you.

This is far more than I would need on any of my vehicles at home, but this does have a rated max static load line pull of 20,000 pounds. So it is a very strong winch, it is perfect for your work trucks, Jeeps, and other off-road vehicles with a maximum gross vehicle weight of 13,400 pounds. So that gives you a good idea of just how strong this winch is. Another key feature of this winch is that it has an IP rating of 68. So it is going to be very durable for you in all sorts of environments.

We've got a sealed motor, gearbox, drum housing, power unit and contactor that are all waterproof with that 68 rating. So this is gonna remain fully functional, even when completely submerged in up to 3 feet of water. So if you're gonna be doing a lot of work in the mud and that sort of thing, this is gonna hold up really well and still allow you to have that winch capability. It does have a 7 horsepower series wound motor that delivers a powerful, fast and safe line pull. It's gonna be more powerful, more efficient, and produce more torque than a permanent magnet motor.

So it is gonna be really strong, very capable for you. It does have the all steel 3-stage planetary gear train with a gear ratio of 343 to 1. So it's gonna give you a better drum speed than your worm drives and a 1 or a 2-stage planetary gear train. So that is going to give you that power and speed that you need. This does have a, a duty cycle of 44 seconds on and 14 minutes off, approximately.

It does have the automatic mechanical cone brake that is gonna hold 100% of the load and minimize your winch creep. So even if you have to kind of take a break, let it cool down for a little bit. You're not gonna lose any of your progress, thanks to that brake. The cone shaped brake is mounted on the outside of the drum to help keep from damaging or any of the heat from damaging your motor and or your half inch diameter wire rope. This is a galvanized steel rope. So it is gonna be very strong and abrasion resistant, and you're gonna have 59 feet to work with. And on the end here, you do have this half inch forged steel hook and nylon hand saver strap. So that's gonna allow you to easily get hooked up to whatever it is that you're connecting to so that you get pulled up or pull them out. If you're helping a friend out of the ditch or something along those lines. You can see, our wire rope is going through our steel roller fairlead here. This does have the 4 rollers to help reduce the friction and wear on your rope. And also make sure that it's not binding or having any sharp turns, that sort of thing. This does have a nice black oxidized finish to help resist corrosion. Over here, we do have our free spooling clutch. That's going to ensure a nice, fast rope payout. So you can pull that to the full length that you need. To help, it's gonna help reduce the wear on the motor by turning that clutch off to the free spool position. I said that you can pull that out as quick as you need. This gearbox can also be rotated in 90 degree increments so you can reach the clutch handle, no matter where the mount or wherever the winch is mounted to, what orientation. So you'll always be able to access that handle there so you can get your clutch free spooling and easily, quickly pull that rope out to get hooked up. We do also have this plastic handheld remote. It's gonna give us 17 feet of lead so that we can operate our winch from a safe distance. You can see very clearly labeled out and in, so very easy to operate. Our power unit is going to include a sealed 40 amp contactor, transmits the power from your vehicle's battery to your 12 volt DC winch motor. The battery leads are color coded. So everything is gonna be very easy to get installed. You do have an overheat sensor. That's going to trigger an alert, if the motor temperature exceeds 212 degrees. There is an LED light on your remote here, that's gonna glow red and an alarm on the power unit is going to sound to let you know that things are getting too hot. You need to let it cool down a little bit. So really nice safety feature there to make sure everything's not getting too hot. This is a nice corrosion resistant, die-cast aluminum motor and gearbox housing with a matte black powder coat finish. So it's going to be very corrosion resistant, that carbon steel motor tube resist corrosion internally. So it's going to be very durable, long lasting for you. It does have the die-cast aluminum rear tie bars and the thick steel side frames to help create a strong, rigid winch body for you. So everything is gonna be extremely durable. Like I said, super heavy duty. This winch, as far as our dimensions go, to make sure that it's gonna fit into wherever it is you're wanting to mount it. It's right about just over 27 inches in total width there. About 27 and 1/8 of an inch or length rather. Our width, we're looking at the body here, right about 8 and a half inches. And then our height is going to depend on where your handle is and where you have your control unit and electrical body housing there. So if we measure to the top of this, it's right about 10 inches, but like I said, this can be rotated. So that handle is in a better position for you. But just to give you a rough idea of the initial setup, the way it comes out of the box. This does come with a limited lifetime warranty on the mechanical components. But like I said, this is a nice, beefy, heavy duty winch. That's gonna be great for your work trucks, off-road vehicles and that sort of thing. So if you are looking for a winch, that's gonna be there for you when you need it, help get out of those tight spots.
