Note: Tie-down straps and their accessories must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the straps being used. For example, if you are using straps with a WLL of 500 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 1,000 lbs, then you need at least 2 straps to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use straps in pairs.

Video Transcript for Review of etrailer E-Track - E-Track Straps Tire Strap - e36HR

Hello neighbors, I'm Steven here at etrailer.com. Today we're looking at the Etrailer E-Track tire strap, rated for 880 pounds safe working load limit. Now folks, this strap does look like this whenever it's not in use. I've got everything mocked up here, so I wanted to throw an image up here real quick, of the strap as it's gonna come to you, so you're gonna get quantity one strap, if you need more than one, obviously we have many, many, many that you can order. Now going back to the strap itself in use, so again, I've got everything kind of loosely fit here on the table. This E-Track is not, obviously, ratcheted down or bolted down to anything.

So if you see a curve in my E-Track, keep in mind, your E-Track should be properly installed and it's not gonna bend or give like that. Also wanna point out, you do not get the E-Track or my wheel and tire with the purchase, this is just for demonstration purposes only. So, getting into it, let me zoom in here. So we'll start over here, you get the nice, heavy-duty ratcheting lever that's gonna help you ratchet it down, it's got a spring-loaded engage and release lever here, so when you're ready to untighten it and all that, you can simply pull on this and pull up on the handle. Another thing to note is that I've got all this extra strap kinda coiled up and tucked underneath this strap.

You could do it many different ways, you can do that. Personally that there might kinda come loose as far as the extra strap. You can get maybe some hook and loop wraps, some strap wraps that we sell here, to kinda tension that down so your extra flaps aren't flapping in the wind. Same thing with this side, I've got it tucked all in there, nice and neat. So getting back to this, you simply pull the spring lever, pull it up.

And then that would loosen up your strap at that point. Now again, I got a demo here, so I'm kinda keeping it taut enough so that it doesn't fall apart on me. And then when you're ready to strap, you obviously would just keep strapping this, and it would keep clicking obviously, and ratcheting it up. But again, I don't wanna go too tight and break anything. Back to this side.

Now, on this strap here, this one here is just a simple pulling cinch. I'm gonna undo my extra stuff here, and show you that, so again. Push this, it's spring loaded. That's just a simple spring-loaded lever there. And ideally, when you're installing this, you wanna get this top strap as centered as possible over the wheel and tire. Come to this side, pull this guy as tight as you can by hand, and it's gonna automatically cinch down on that. And then come back to your other side, and that's when you would really go to town on this guy. Make it all tight, taut, everything, and nice and secure. Folks, this does have a nice spring load fitting, as I mentioned before. So it can attach anywhere on the E-Track. There's spring loads here. You can kinda hear that, lemme back out here on the view. So you can hear that spring latch. If this was loosened up. I would be able to get this E-Track out, just like so. And then that's also how it would go back in, you would simply pull that up, and then pop it down into place. And you can hear it click into place. So then again, you would tighten everything, to give you a nice secure hold. Now this does work on both horizontal and vertical E-Tracks and X-Track, and it's gonna accommodate wheel sizes up to 26 to 29 inches in diameter. Right now, just for reference, I've got a 14-inch wheel and combo here on this setup. As I mentioned before, the safe working load limit is 880 pounds, while the maximum load or brake strength is rated at 2640 pounds. Has a nice one-year warranty. And again, this is the Etrailer E-Track tire strap. I'm Steven, thanks so much for watching, have a great day.
