Hi everybody, my name is Andy with etrailer.com, and today we are taking a look at Coghlan's silver watertight storage capsule. If you're looking for a small size storage capsule to carry some small items and in a convenient way, this might be an option for you. Let's take a closer look at it. From holding money to maybe some first aid items or even some items for a repair kit, these capsules can prove to be very handy for items such as that. As you can see, this has an O ring that ensures a watertight enclosure. So when you have this closed up tight, you do not have to worry about the contents of your capsule getting wet.

It is made out of a lightweight aluminum, so you don't have to worry about rust or corrosion. Let me give you an idea about what it looks like just to have some small items in there that you might want to carry in a capsule like this. Again, this is a relatively small capsule, but I just have a very small Band-Aid here. If you wanted to carry some first aid items, you could put a small bandage in there and close it up. And what's nice, again, is you don't have to worry about whatever you have in here getting wet and it'll stay dry.

And just have some money here too, just to kind of give you an idea. You'd have to fold the bill down pretty small, obviously, but still you could carry like an emergency supply of cash and it would be nice and secure and dry in a capsule like this. Now, as you can see, this does come with a carabiner. This is not rated for climbing, just be aware of that. You're looking for a carabiner for climbing, you wanna look for something that's rated for that.

But what's nice about this carabiner is you can just attach it to your key ring. And so you would have this nice storage capsule available to you at a moment's notice at your fingertips, right there on your key rings. So that's a nice option for this as well. Just to kind of give you some measurements here, beginning with the stem that the carabiner is attached to looking at its length, it's sitting right at about 2 1/2 inches long, and then its width, we are sitting right at about, I'm gonna to say about 1/4 inch, 1/4 inch in width. Now, if you're looking for larger storage capsules, again, this is on the small side, may I recommend looking at Coghlan's five inch long storage capsule.
