Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Taylor Made 12 inch diameter Edge Mount Dock Wheel Bumper for 20 foot to 30 foot long boats. Now, this dock bumper attaches to your dock, helps prevent damage to boats when they're pulling into the harbor. It uses this inflatable smooth rolling wheel, which rolls to guide the boat into the marina's slip without hitting the dock, so it's ideal for docking in the dark or other low visibility conditions. This does have a nice non-marring ribbed surface, so it won't drag along the boat's hull. Does use a molded inflation valve seat on it, which is harder to tear off than glued in valve seat, and you could adjust the bumper with air to the correct level of firmness you need of it.
Maximum it hold is up to 3 Psi. Now, it does also include this galvanized axle housing here, and this straight mounting bracket, which will secure the bumper to the side of your dock. The hardware they also include is galvanized mounting hardware to install it. It is a sturdy bolt-on installation, you can mount the bumper to the side of the dock, and it keeps the boat from hitting the dock side when you're adjusting inside the slip. This part is made in the USA, comes with a nice set of instructions, but basically just to show you how it goes on, take off the two washers and a lock nut, and what you shall do is unscrew the middle of this bumper, and with that off, you can see that'll just slide right over, like that, and then what you shall do is take your two washers, put it over there and then take your lock nut, and then just go ahead and tighten that down.
Now, because it's a lock nut, I don't wanna tighten it all the way down and ruin the seal, but you get the idea, just tighten it down and snug it in place. Once it's all in place, then you just put this over the top, screw it all the way down, and then once it's installed, you can see your wheel will row. This is installed onto the side of the dock, so pretty simple installation. Few specs on this again, the diameter of the wheel is 12 inches, the axle diameter, which is the portion right here is two inches, and as we mentioned, this part being a 12 inch diameter is designed for use with 20 foot to 30 foot long boat. But that should do it for the review on the Taylor Made 12 inch diameter Edge Mount Dock Wheel Bumper for 20 foot to 30 foot long boats..
