Replace the 7-way, RV-style trailer connector on your vehicle with this T-One harness. ModuLite reduces strain on wiring system. Brake controller adapter splices into your vehicle's wiring when installing your electric trailer brake controller.
Features:
This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the tail light assemblies to access this harness. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the body harness up to your car battery and connect the wires per the included instructions.
Once installation is complete, the 7-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 7-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.
A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. With a ModuLite, your trailer's lights will be powered without overloading your vehicle's electrical system. Because the module draws power directly from your car's battery and bypasses the electrical routes that are used by a basic wiring harness, there is virtually no draw on your tail light circuits.
This adapter splices into the 4-pin connector on your vehicle's built-in brake control wiring harness. The harness is located to the left of the steering column, through a grommet in the engine compartment.
This adapter is designed to plug directly into your electric brake controller after splicing into your vehicle's wiring. You can unplug and remove your brake controller at any time and securely stow it away.

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Tekonsha OEM replacement vehicle wiring harness with brick controller adapter. This is going to replace a damaged factory 7-way blade-style trailer connector at the back of your 2022 and newer Ford Maverick. This is going to enable your Maverick to power your trailer's signal lights, so other motorists can see if you're stopping or turning, that sort of thing. This is a T1 system. So, it is going to connect quickly and easily.
Basically, just plugs right into the connection points behind your taillights. So, you will have to remove your taillights to gain access to those connections. But once you have that pulled out, you should see your factory wiring connected to your taillights in plugs that look almost identical to this. So, you'll just pull those plugs apart, put this in line, then that's gonna re-complete that circuit, so your taillights will function properly whether you're hooked up to your trailer or not, then it will also send that signal out to your trailer. This does include this taillight converter, that's going to ensure that your vehicle's wiring matches that of your trailer, so all your lights will function properly.
This does include the body harness that will then run up to your vehicle's battery. So, it's going to draw power from the battery instead of potentially overloading your vehicle's electrical system. You're also going to get this electric brake controller adapter, wiring adapter. That's gonna make it very easy to get your electric brake controller hooked up. So, this wire end will splice into your Ford built-in brake controller wiring harness.
And then, you're gonna have the other end that plugs into the back of your electric brake controller. This is going to work for the time delayed brake controllers that you see on the screen there at the top, as well as the proportional brake controllers. They're at the bottom of that graphic, that's on the screen there. So if you have any of those or if you're looking to add one, those are all compatible with this system, and it is gonna be very simple to get this installed. It is a pretty extensive installation.
So, it is nice that they include this wiring diagram and instructions for you to make sure that everything's getting wired in properly. But if you're even a little bit mechanically inclined, if you've ever done any sort of wiring before, this is gonna do be a simple installation that you can do yourself without having to pay a mechanic to do it for you to make sure that you're up and running again. So, this is going to provide that 7-way connection. This is compatible with 4-pole, 5-pole, and 6-pole adapters. If you we're to ever need to tow a different kind of trailer, you could use an adapter with that, those are sold separately. But we have lots of options available here at etrailer.com. So, one of the things I really like about this kit is just how simple it is gonna be to get wired in place, rather than having to splice into your vehicle's taillight wiring. This is gonna be a very simple plug and play setup. If you want to add in that break controller, you will do a little bit of splicing into your wiring, but overall, a very simple setup, although it is pretty extensive, it's gonna be pretty straightforward. So, it completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com, thanks for watching..
