Quickly and easily install a 4-way trailer connector on your vehicle with this custom harness. T-connector plugs directly into existing wiring - no cutting, splicing or tapping required.

Installation
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the tail light assemblies to access this harness.
Once installation is complete, the 4-way connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.
It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Today on this 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix were going to install part number 56076 from Curt. The first thing we need to do is go ahead and remove the rear trim panel at the threshold. We have to remove the interior liner to get access to hardware that holds the taillights in place so we can remove the taillights. These are the three fasteners we have to remove. Well pull the light away, and then well disconnect the wire harness. Well pull up on this tab right here and then pull it out.
Were done with the drivers side for now. Lets go ahead and repeat the same process over on the passengers side. Well take the four pole end and drop it down between the body and the bumper cover on the drivers side. Well go ahead and hook up one half of our electrical harness with the yellow wire. Well hook that up to the factory harness.
Then well take the other half of the connector with the green wire, route that below and around to the other side. When we route this wire we want to make sure we stay away from the exhaust. Then well come back up to the wire harness and plug it in there. With our wire connections made well go ahead and take the white wire with the ring terminal and ground that to the sheet metal. Then we can go ahead and reinstall the taillights and also the interior components.
Well go back below the vehicle and secure the wires. To help secure our wires in place were going to use a couple loom clamps, part number A0500. Then well go ahead and add the cover for the four pole and well use that to secure it to the hitch. With that, that will finish it for our install of part number 56076 from Curt on our 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix.

Still working properly....great product
I had [local retailer] install wiring for me on my car The first time and it quit working shortly after. And of course they wouldn't do anything about it. They spliced my light wiring and direct wired it into my lighting and cut some other cables. With this part all I had to do was plug it into the lights directly super easy and everything works great! Never again will I let [local retailer] touch my car. Definitely would buy this again.
Quick and easy to install! The instructions are slightly wrong. I had 3 wing nuts per light assembly, not 2. It would be really nice if they labeled each T harness with "Driver" and "Passenger", just to be clear which one goes to which side.
Very easy install, just T into existing plugs at tail lamps. I did have to drill one hole for the ground wire, screw was provided. Instructions were easy to follow and specific to my vehicle. I did use my own long tie wraps to secure the wires to the top of my bumper beam, there are 2 slots in the bumper foam that are the perfect width to run a long zip tie through.
Easy installation. Plug and play. Everything went smoothly.

What I recommend is using a magnetic four flat holder part # 306-X6019. It is on the pricey side however it does not require any drilling to mount and works with most four flat connectors.
