Hi everybody, my name is Andy with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at Conklin's binoculars for kids. If you're looking for ways to encourage your child to explore the outdoors, this might be a good solution for you. I could really see where this would come in handy if like you we're on a camping trip and you we're wanting to teach your child how to use a pair of binoculars and take advantage of your beautiful surroundings. And this would really be a good item to have on hand so that they could learn how to use binoculars and just, just enjoy the advantages that come with owning a pair of binoculars. Let's take a closer look at these.

Now these binoculars are made out of sturdy abs plastic, and it's designed for ages six and up and the plastic, the yellow plastic is a little bit slick around here, but they do have nice, like a padded plastic here that provides a grip for the kids. So I think these would be really easy to hold on to. They do have soft eyepieces with adjustable spacing. So that's a nice feature that's included in binoculars, but also in these binoculars for kids and the large glass lenses provide a 4 * 30 magnification. And then the dial here allows to adjust the focus.

And as you can see, when you adjust that focus, the eyepieces ascend and descend to allow that focus. This also has a breakaway lanyard by the way, it's about 17 inches long and you don't have to worry about if they get this lanyard caught. It is breakaway, so that'll easily come undone. And so that's nice that you don't have to worry about that being a hazard again this is, these are yellow. So they do provide visibility.

If your child would happen to drop these in the woods or on the trail, I don't think these would be really difficult to find. They should be real easy to find in their color. Let me kind of give you an idea of some measurements here, having them fully extended, just kind of looking at the across, across measurement here or sitting right at about a four and a half, four and a half inches. And then when you contract them, you're sitting closer to about four inches. And then when you have the focus style turned all the way down, the height of these are sitting right at about three and a quarter inch tall.

Now these binoculars do come with the instructions on how to use these.
