Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at these GSI Outdoors Ultralight Cutting Boards. Now, I do have two boards here. This is the large option. This is the small option. They are sold separately.

You can find them using the part numbers that you see on the screen, there. I just wanted to show you, kind of, the size comparison so that you can make a informed decision on which one is going to be best for you.These are basically going to be the exact same kind of board. They just obviously are sized differently, but they are both going to be a nice, hard surface for you to slice your fruits, cut your meat, dice your vegetables, that kind of thing, while you're out camping. These are an extremely lightweight and flexible design. So they're going to be very easy to pack in your backpack or your travel pack, going to kind of conform to different shapes so that you'll always have them when you need them.They're also very easy to clean.

Just, kind of, spray them off, soap and water, but then they have these integrated hooks in them that will allow you to hang these up so that they can air-dry. If you can see, don't know if it's going to be very clear for you or not. There are little symbols here. So on this side, we've got a chicken and then on this side, we've got, it looks like a carrot. So that's going to help you distinguish one side from the other so that you don't cross-contaminate.

Make sure that all your meat is cut on the same side and then you can flip it over and cut all your vegetables and fruits and that sort of things on the other side. Both of those have those symbols.So, the main difference between these two is going to be the size difference, as I said. Your small one is about nine and one eighth of an inch, so just over nine inches long by six inches wide and it is one eighth of an inch thick. Your large is going to be 15 and three quarters of an inch long by nine and one eighth of an inch wide and again, one eight of an inch tall or thick. So both have a great quality to them to allow you to cut your food before you prepare it.

You can see, they do have this ridging on them. This is a gutter and it's got a spout on the one end to make it easier for you to, kind of, control the juices, pour those out. And you can also kind of fold these up to help get it into a pot, those sort of things.They are both extremely lightweight. So your small one here is going to be about 2.6 ounces, which is less than about three slices of bread. So it's not going to take up much room in your pack, will be very easy to take along with you. Our bigger one is going to be about 4.8 ounces. So, comparing it to something that you're probably familiar with. It's about one and a half deck of cards. So not quite two decks of cards, so very lightweight. And as I said, very flexible, easy to take with you wherever you're going, whether you're backpacking or traveling cross-country, these are going to be very easy to take along with you so you have a nice cutting surface to make your meals.So that's going to complete our look for today. These two different cutting boards. Again, they are sold separately, they don't come as a kit. So get the one that's going to work best for you. In my mind, the smaller ones, probably more for like an individual or a couple of people where the bigger one would probably be best for a family. If you're going out, you could get both of them, have different sized quantities of food that you're preparing, have different cutting boards for those purposes. But, totally up to you, just want to make sure that you have an informed decision, while you're deciding which one's going to work best for you. So that's going to complete our look for today.
