Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Hydrapro Alpha G1600 Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator for Disc Brakes. Now, this Hydrapro Brake Actuator is gonna give you faster braking response, and improve control for your fifth wheel, or your work or horse trailer with disc brakes. Application. This is for single tandem or triple axle trailers with disc brakes.

And this uses a 15.7 ounces of total reservoir capacity. So it's got more than enough power to tackle even your most demanding towing needs. This will activate the hydraulic disc brake system when you apply the brakes in your vehicle. And this will reach 1000 psi in just about three sixteenths of a second. And the maximum output pressure on this is 1600 psi.

Also a nice feature on this, this will work from the factory electric brake controllers, so you don't need an extra adapter. And this is made to last, and it'll protect key components for everyday reliability. Starting off, if you look at the housing, it's an extruded aluminum housing, which will dissipate the heat buildup. And on the ends they use upgraded gasket seals. And they use an isolated sealed fluid tank, which eliminates risk of contamination.

Does use a powerful DC motor in a German made pump, and this will install on your trailer frame or in an enclosed compartment. If you notice on the side here, it has this 360 degree rotating 90 degree brake line fitting, which allows for any mounting position for your brake line. And it offers a hydraulic port size of three sixteenths of an inch inverted flare, which is a standard brake line fitting. This part does meet the DOT, Department of Transportation, specifications. Now, this will require a few components that we do sell separately.

As we mentioned, it'll require a over hydraulic compatible factory, or aftermarket trailer brake controller. It requires a DOT battery powered breakaway device with a switch. A seven way trailer connector to send the wired signal. And then the mounting hardware, wires, connectors, hydraulic lines and fittings are all needed to install this. A few specs on this. It is a 12 volt DC for power. Has a minimum 30 amp circuit. Current draw, at full pressure on this, is 18 to 24 amps. And if you look right here, the wiring that comes out the back here, it has four different wires that need to be attached. Basically, the black one will go to your 12 volt power. The blue one will go to your brake controller. Yellow, to your breakaway. White, to the ground. And also right up here, it is stamped on here with the same colors, and what function they control. Last thing, I just wanna give you some dimensions on this. We're gonna measure the length from this end to this end. So if you look, it's gonna be right at 10 and a quarter inches long. Now, if you want the length, including the mounting tabs, you can see, if I flip this over, the mounting tabs stick out on both sides. So the total length, including those mounting tabs, it's 11 and three quarter inches. The width on this at the widest point is right down here. So if we put our ruler on that, it's three and five eight inches wide. The height from the bottom to the top of the case is right at six inches. If you add the cap, that adds about three quarters of an inch. So to the top here, it would be six and three quarter inches.
