Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this surface mount waterproof Eon LED boat accent light with the blue LEDs. Now, this is an LED light that'll provide a nice, bright blue light on your boat. So, it is great for upgrading or replacing accent, step, walkway, or even underwater lighting. The light output on this is gonna be 150 lumens.

Now, at the end of this video, I am gonna hook this up to some 12 volt power just to show you how bright it is and the color blue of the light. This does use a sealed waterproof housing and lens unit, which is submersible. Does have an IP 68 rating, which means it's resistant to submersion up to a maximum depth of five feet underwater for up to 30 minutes. They do use a military-grade construction of the circuit board. They use a urethane potting, which gives you better protection than the common epoxy potting.

And the LEDs on this, they are premium LEDs. They are energy efficient, long-lasting, and vibration resistant. They are rated for up to 50,000 hours of operation. And if you notice, it is a nice durable polycarbonate housing with the UV-resistant lens. If you notice, it is a clear lens, oh, and it's over three blue LEDs.

Now, this is compatible with 12 volt DC systems. Now, to install this light, it is a surface mount installation. It does need the recommended vertical or horizontal mounting covers, which we do sell separately on our website, and those products are listed on this product page as a related product. Now, basically, depending on how you mount it will depend on how the beam is. So, if you mount it horizontally like this, it's gonna give off a 90 degree beam.

If you mount it vertically like this, it's gonna be a 70 degree beam. Now, the mounting hardware is not included. This does hardwire to your application. It is a two-wire design, you have a power wire and a ground wire. And you can see they do give you a length of wire which is about 36 inches. Few specs on this, the input voltage is nine volts to 14 volts. Power draw is .09 to .13 amps. Last thing I wanna do is give you dimensions and then we'll hook it up to some power. So, the length on this is right at 2 1/8 inches long. Width of it is 5/8 of an inch. Total depth of this light is also 5/8 of an inch. So, what we're gonna do is hook up our power and our ground wire. And I'll go ahead and turn on our 12 volt power and you can see the blue light. I'll go ahead and turn off our overhead lights and you can see there's the three blue LEDs, give off a very bright blue light. And if we go zoom out, I just wanna show you the distance, how much light this does give off. And we'll go ahead and turn back on overhead lights. Turn off our power.
