Each bag has a large main compartment so you can throw a jacket or pair of shoes inside. These main compartments have rolltops that secure with buckles and straps. The rolltop design makes it easy to access your cargo. And there's no zipper that could snag, break, or allow water to leak into the bag.
Internal pockets let you organize small items such as your wallet, phone, and granola bars.
The bags are constructed of waterproof nylon with welded seams to ensure your gear stays clean and dry. The nylon is IP64 rated, meaning it blocks both dust and water from getting into the bag. Whether you ride across the desert or splash through a few puddles, these bags will protect your spare socks and other valuables.
The bags also have a reflective Thule logo on the front and reflective patterns on the side panels to help drivers see you better while you ride at night.
Each bag has 2 anchor spots - one on each side - so that you can attach bike lights (sold separately) for additional visibility.
The Thule panniers have built-in mounting hooks that let you attach the bags to the side rails of your Thule Tour bike rack.
To install a bag, simply pull up on the integrated loop to open the mounting hooks, and place the hooks at the desired location on the side rail of the Tour rack. Release the loop, allowing the hooks to lock onto the rack's rail. To complete installation, align the metal sheet in the back of the bag with the rare earth magnet attachment on your bike frame.
This magnet attachment prevents the bag from swinging around as you ride.
Once you arrive at your destination, attach the included messenger-style shoulder straps or use the built-in grab handles to comfortably take your bags with you. When you're not using the shoulder straps, just toss them inside the bags.

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at these Thule Pack 'n Pedal Shield Pannier Bags. These black, waterproof pannier bags will mount on the side of your bicycle racks. So that you can carry cargo. These do have built-in mounting hooks here on the back, so it's gonna be very easy to quickly attach your bags to the left and right side of your bike. Now, these will mount directly to the Thule Tour Rack.
These very easily integrate onto that tour rack. But they also include adapter hardware that will allow it to fit virtually any rack on the market. Now, these do have a carrying capacity of 24 liters. So it is gonna be quite a bit for you. So our large main compartment here is going to allow you to put in change of clothes, groceries, that sort of thing.
You got plenty of room in there. And then you also have your internal pockets here, that will allow you to keep small items organized. So lots of organizational opportunities there. Got that larger pocket there and then these two smaller mesh pockets on the front. So lots of ways to keep organized.
The material itself is a waterproof nylon. It does have welded seams, so this is gonna keep our gear clean and dry. This is tested to IP64 standards, so it's gonna do a good job for us. We do have a roll-down design with the buckle snaps that allow you to close this up without having to worry about zippers allowing water, dirt in. So very easy to get that rolled down, and then snapped into place there.
We also have integrated handles and shoulder strap that's gonna allow you to put that over your shoulder. Pull it up off your bike, carry it around with you once you get to your destination. You can see we've got this Thule logo on the front, this is gonna be reflective. We also have reflective stripes on the side here that are going to help when we're traveling at night. Makes it a little bit more visible for us. If we we're gonna have this loaded up our overall height when it's folded down like it is, it's gonna be about 17 inches tall, 13 inches wide, and about six inches deep. Again, if we had full capacity instead of being empty like it is now. Each bag only weighs about two and a half pounds so it's gonna be very easy to carry along with you, won't add too much weight to your bike ride. Very easy to get attached to your bike and take along all of the things that you need to with you. This does come with a limited lifetime warranty.
