Does not unlock my carrier rack locks
It took a couple tries but E Trailer kept working with me until I got the right key
Keys- they worked. Bought some used Yakima ski racks with the old style (non-SKS) locks and these keys worked.
These replacement keys work exactly as they should. No issues so far! The tutorial videos and information provided by etrailer.com were especially helpful.
The folks at etrailer were way more helpful and responsive than Yakima itself was. I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to use my (very expensive) Yakima roof carrier after breaking a key off in one of the locks, but etrailer was able to provide both the hardware and the support I needed way before Yakima ever responded. This business is how all consumer-focused companies should be run !
I bought two of these, they work great, good the bikes very solid and I'm confident using them over hundreds of miles. etrailer.com is my go-to for tracks and accessories

Trying to get a spare key for any lock can I prove difficult, but try a roof box! I noticed etrailer offered keys and low and behold, they have Yakima brand replacement keys. I called in, they confirmed availability, and shipped me two keys right away. They arrive and the ultimate test…so they work? Yes, perfectly!! Thanks etrailer
Received the entirwly wrong package. Gor Yakima 8880626 and 8880140 instead of what I ordered. Usually a good experience here but this mixup screwed up my holiday week travle plans.
I lost my key to my Yakima rack and ordered a new one from etrailer. Got it in a couple of day and fits perfectly.
Keys (2 different ones) worked fine. One was for my son's roof bike rack; the other was for mine.
You can’t go wrong with a key as long as you order the correct number. It’s easier getting these old style keys from etrailer.com than from Yakima.
Got new key locks for my Yakima. Sent lock numbers and order. Was easy enough to take out old locks and replace. I have had the Yakima storage unit for my car for many years. Installing new locks and key gave me a usable product again
Prompt service and just what I needed. Would do business again with etrailer
They told me the key was going to be sent via UPS 2 day guarantee and offered to pay for half of the shipping cost since I placed a previous order. They charged me $13.93 (which they say was half of the shipping cost). I was suppose to receive it on Thursday but I got it on Friday. When I checked with UPS, they sent it UPS Ground. The CS states that there is such a thing as UPS Ground 2 Day. Thinking that they were doing a favor but instead ripped me off. Never doing business with them again.
Had no problems, would use etrailer aga in.
Just what I needed
I lost the key, and apparently the spare key, for the locks for my Yakima basket. I found the exact OEM replacement, for a fair price, at etrailer.com. I will definitely make this my first stop next time I need something trailer or roof rack related.
I bought a Yakima Space Cadet cargo box at a garage sale for $20 but it did not have the keys. Bought the control key to remove the cores so I could find the code to get replacement keys. I could not believe how easy it was. Just insert the control key and the core pulls out.
I have been buying various products from etrailer over the last 10 years or so as I am always building, improving or adding stuff to my truck and rv de jour. Firestone ride rite helper springs and electrical trailer connectors for my truck and recently as the pictures show, custom roof racks for the solar panel and Yakima Rocketbox and Yakima replacement keys for my Promaster City camper. Probably bought 20 items in all over the years and have always found all the staff, in this case Shery T, to be the best customer service representatives of any company I have dealt with. I am visual and the instructional videos combined with the written text of the installation of the various items I have purchased has made it easy for me to get the job done in no time. I don't write reviews as a matter of course but make this exception concerning Etrailer and it's employees due to across the board outstanding professionalism and efficiency in getting their part of the job done right.
Simple process. I got the number from the lock, and got sent a set of the correct keys. Easy peasy, and eTrailer was great to deal with.
Exactly what I ordered, delivered on exactly the date I expected. I will purchase from this company again.
