Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. And today we're gonna take a brief look at this Westin replacement mounting hardware kit. Now this is going to replace the hardware and mounting brackets for your Westin HDX grill guards. And on your screen I am including our item numbers for the grill guards that this kit will work with. And this includes all of the hardware and brackets that are required to mount your grill guard to your vehicle. Instructions are included.
And it is recommended that you use an anti-seize lubricant on all stainless steel hardware to prevent thread galling. So once again, on your screen I am including our item number to that Loctite anti-seize stick. I can’t believe this came in 2 days, most other sites it would take a lot longer to deliver, and the driver had to deal with the terrible rain we have had which I appreciate
The product and shipping were good. The product is well built and finished. But their instructions are horrible. The pictures of the installation are difficult to see exactly what they are showing. Not a problem from etrailer, it’s Westin’s fault. Better pictures would be helpful! I’m a very experienced DIYer and owned a hardware store for 20+ years but I had trouble with the installation. Once one side was done the other side was easy.
It’s holding the bar up great and none of the parts have rusted out or started to get loose on me. This has ensured the protection of my truck against 2 deer and a Turkey and a log so far.
Perfect fit. No changes needed to mount brush guard after miss placing the first set.

After a year it’s still looking like new and working well. I had to add a 3” strap on the bottom of the grill guard as it didn’t fit exactly on my grill guard but overall happy with the product.
