My vintage hand pump works like new now, thank you so much! Parts were easy to replace.

by:

this is a relatively cheap way to patch up the Valterra sink pump which has a tendency to develop leaks.

Excellent communication from seller during sale, will definitely order from gain. Exactly what I needed and came with instructions for installation. Much easier and cheaper than replacing the entire faucet on my sailboat. Luckily I ended up not needing this for some reason the faucet started working again by magic, so now I have it as a backup ready to go.

I had 2 Valterra Rocket pumps aboard my 1976 O'Day 25 that as far as I know are original and have never been repaired. After a thorough cleaning and replacing the kit parts the pumps work as good as new.

Product was used in a summer time children's play area Mud Kitchen tap not in an RV. So far it has stood up to many pump actions from children using dirty and sandy water. We added a filter on the end of the intake tubing which filtered out the larger sand and mud particles. The entire pump was removed for winter storage because of freezing, which we felt was the reason the original pump mechanism failed.

The rebuild kit for the rocket pump is excellent. The delivery was prompt. Installed it on a 25 foot sailboat; price was about half of a marine supply site. The kit was accompanied with an instruction sheet indicating where all the parts went. I would buy from etrailer again.

Good idea to have a spare

product is great in the end my guestimate of the diameter of the two pieces was somewhat flawed so between the two I have been able to make it work the gentleman from etrailer was great the info I gave was flawed

  • Disassembling Valterra Rocket Hand Pump To Install Repair Kit
I reached out to Valterra and to disassemble your Valterra Rocket Hand Pump # RP800 to install the Repair Kit # RP320 you are correct that first you will need to remove the screws from the bottom of the pump. My contact said that the seal between the black and chrome pieces is very sticky and the best way to get it to loosen up is to place the hand pump in hot water, but not boiling water, for roughly 10 minutes to help loosen the seal. Once you pull the pump out of the water you will...
