Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the Taylor Made lifeline boat fender clips. Now these are going to be an easy way to attach your fenders on the sides of your boat to the lifeline running around the edge. So you can either clip this in place over that quarter inch or three 16th inch lifeline and just hook it on in place and then tie your fender to the other end. Or if you want to make this adjustable, you can tie your fender to the one end and then use that clip to hook onto it and then just tie it off of that little cleat at the end. So a couple of options there. That would look something like this where you run your line through, tie a little knot.
Of course you'd probably want to do a more secure knot, but just for the sake of time I'm just going to do a lazy one there. Then we could run our cleat or rope through that clip and then tie it off with the cleat. So you could make that as long or short as you want it to be to attach your fender.Of course you'll have the other end going into your actual fender and then this loop can go around your lifeline there or really anywhere you'd want to mount this up to and then the cleat can act as a stopping point for them. So a couple options as far as how to attach your fender to your boat. It's made of a durable plastic construction. Comes in white.
We do get to these little clips and I'm going to give you some measurements here just so you can have a reference for how big these are. So from tip to tip, it's three and a quarter inches long. From the very longest point of that cleat out to the end of the hole there. The widest point is going to be the edges of our cleat, which is about one and a half inch inches wide. And then the thickest portion of our hook is about an inch.
The diameter of that hole is just about seven sixteenths of an inch wide, so it should work with a pretty wide variety of different rope sizes. This little throat inside our clip, that's just about five eighths of an inch wide at the widest point there. So it should work with five eights of an inch rope going into that as well. And that's going to do it for our look at the Taylor Made lifeline boat fender clips.

Hang 2 fenders from your lifeline or simply keep ropes from cluttering up your boat's deck with these clips. Just snap the clips onto your boat's lifeline and feed the ropes through the eyelets. Easily holds up to 3/8" diameter ropes.Good old fashion bumper hooks, as we used to call them. Hardly any vehicles have bumpers you can slip these onto, but many car or truck fenders have a lip you can slip them onto, so they still have their place. Very simple and cheap little gadget. ETrailer was the only place I could find them.
The product was what I expected. The service was beyond expectations. Good communication from order to receipt.
