Today we're going to take a look at the replacement fifth wheel head assembly for the Reese 30,000 pound low-profile fifth wheel trailer hitch. Now this part is designed to fit in the Reese low-profile fifth wheel trailer hitch, part number RP30054, which we do sell separately on our website. This is the head portion. This is the two piece jaw locking system, which will provide more jaw to kingpin contact than a slide bar model. The jaws will securely wrap around your trailer's kingpin to give it less rattle, and easier hook up for a nice, safer, quieter ride. Also, gives you greater security. It does have front to back movement on the hitch head, you can see.

And it even features the Reese exclusive side-to-side rocker design for smooth trailering. The side tilt creates a nice smooth ride, reduces stress on your truck frame. This all is a nice black powder coat finish, to help resist corrosion. The handle right here, is a ready assessable lockable handle. Has a nice comfort grip on it. You notice the two jaws right here.

To open it up, you just flip open the lever right here. This will unlock it. Release your handle, and then you just pull your handle out. And once it gets far enough, it will lock into the open position. And then if you just let it go, it'll close the jaws around kingpin, and then you can put the handle back down, and then lock it in place.

There are two holes here if you'd like to put a padlock through there for extra security. Now the gross towing weight capacity on this is 30,000 pounds. But you do want to make sure the capacity is limited to that of what your vehicle is.
