You picked out a beautiful campsite for the weekend, a nice place to pause and relax. But before you can enjoy it, you have a whole checklist for getting your RV set up at your campsite. Getting your pull-style manual retractable awning extended is one of those tedious chores. Wrestling with your heavy canopy as you try to pull it out smoothly and evenly is exhausting. Getting it back in is even worse. Working against the tension to get it to roll up nice and even again can be a strain on your arms and your back. And if you don't do it right the first time, you just have to start over again. It's time to find a better way to do this.

Solera Crank Style RV Retractable Awning Drive Head

A crank-style upgrade is the perfect way to simplify your awning setup. It lets you roll your awning in and out smoothly and easily every time. Simply take the included crank rod and insert the hook into the metal ring hanging on the drive head. Crank the rod clockwise to extend and counterclockwise to retract. You can stop the awning at any point to block the sun all throughout the day.

Best of all, this conversion kit is a great economical option. You don't need to buy new fabric, arms, or a new roller to upgrade your awning. You just need these new heads and endcaps, and you're good to go!

A better awning has arrived. Solera annual awnings. Knowing inaudible 00:00:05 components is the industry's leading innovator, multiple manufacturers approached us to engineer an awning that solves several design flaws. We took the challenge and designed a better awning to enhance the mobile lifestyle. Already, the Solera manual awning is being praised for its innovative design. Engineered better.

We engineered our Solera manual awning to be easy to use. Our hook and turn manual operation allows RVers to easily expand and retract the awning with little effort. Great against the elements. The anti-scuff, anti-mildew fabric with a quality sewn hem holds up against the elements. The awning fabric is also cold crack protected up to minus 25 degrees Fahrenheit.

Intelligent design. The Solera manual awning can also be easily upgraded to power. There is nothing to disassemble and our universal fabric design reduces SKU count by thousands. Industry first adjustable friction joint. In the extend position, the Solera manual awning is equipped with an industry-first friction joint that allows for easier side-to-side adjustments.

The awning pitch can be set manually by adjusting the articulating arm tip one side of the awning to allow water runoff. Quick facts. The Solera manual awning has an easy-to-use hook and rod system. Simply insert the hook into the awning head and turn the rod clockwise to extend and counter-clockwise to retract. Its internal gearbox allows you to stop the awning at any point during extension or retraction. With the Solera manual awning, there's no rafter arm to lock in place.

The friction joint provides added stability, so it doesn't need to be locked in place like other awnings on the market. Fabric care. If, for any reason, the Solera manual awning must be retracted while it's still wet, it must be extended again as soon as possible and allowed to dry before retracting for storage. Making sure the awning is dry before storage will help prevent the formation of mildew and extend the life of the fabric. Mildew does not form on the fabric itself, but on accumulated dust and dirt. Periodically clean vinyl or woven acrylic fabric using a mixture of one quarter cup of dish soap mixed with five gallons of warm water. Liberally slosh the mixture on top of the fabric, roll the awning up, and let it sit for five minutes. This will apply the fixture to both sides of the awning.
