Ellen: Hey, everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're taking a quick look at the Replacement No-Slip Tread Tape for your Kwikee Steps. This is available as two different parts, there are two different sizes that you can get, and they are just going to come in a single quantity. So if you want the larger size, this is the 8x25 inch, and then we also have the 6x21 inch. And those are separate part numbers, but they are both available here at etrailer.com to replace or add in some tread to your steps. So if you're taking that old portion off, maybe it's gotten ripped up or it's just worn out and it doesn't really have that grip anymore, it's a good idea to replace it so that you can still get that non-slip feel for the steps. The biggest thing to note whenever you're putting that piece on is that you want to clean off the step really well, get off any kind of residue from the old tread, clean up any grease or oil that might've got on there, dust and debris and all that kind of stuff, so maybe using a little alcohols rub or some goo-gone or something else to take up anything that might be sticking to that step, and then just peel off the backing for your tape.
It can be a little tricky to get started. Of course, it always helps to have nails. So I just peel off that backing, smooth it on there, get it all nice and straight, and you should be good to go. There's really nothing to it other than that. It's just going to be that nice, coarse grain, kind of sandpaper material, and then it has that high visibility strip to help you see where the edge of that step is in low-light conditions. So again, this one I have loose here, this is 25 inches by 8 inches, and the other one that's available is 21 inches by 6 inches.
So you can pick whichever one fits your step best. It's kind of up to you. You can cut this material to length if you want it to be kind of somewhere in between or if your step is even narrower than this one so that's just something to keep in mind. It might be a little bit tricky to cut with that kind of coarse material on there but shouldn't be anything that's too technical. That's pretty much it as far as our look at the Non-Slip Tape. I hope this has been helpful in deciding if this is the right part for you.
That's always our goal here at etrailer.com is to make sure that you get the right part the first time. So I hope this video helps. Thanks for watching.

Size was perfect and style with yellow stripe was same as original on my 1995 County Coach class A motorhome. The automatic electric steps had chips, spots of rust. They were ugly! Used heat from hair dryer with plastic scraper and painter's tool to remove old anti skid strips. Cleaned up stairs and brushed, treated rust spots. Repainted stair treads and sides with Rustoleum black and topped with Rustoleum Universal clear. After thoroughly dried and cured, measured and marked site to apply new strips with fragment of bar soap. Lined up new strips and applied. It was difficult to maintain alignment while applying but it ended up pretty good. Clear coated the new strips once applied to protect yellow stripe from wear. Turned out great!! Not bad for a little old lady!!
These work very well. The key to putting them on is no make sure surface is clean. I was replacing step covers that were starting to peel at the edges. Once I pulled them off, I used a razor to remove the old adhesive.
Just installed the nonskid treads today. They look exactly like the originals and hope they last as long or longer.
Perfect. I am refurbishing the steps on my Motorhome. I could not find these non skid strips in the right dimensions until I tried etrailer. I can always find the exact same product that was originally in my RV at etrailer. Even better they provide videos that demonstrate the product and sometimes how to install it. What more can you ask for? The customer service is also great. There was a small tear in one of the strips. I called them and no problem, new strip was shipped right away.
The replacement linkage kit for our Kwikee electric RV step worked great. etrailer was easy to order from & the part was delivered a day early. Thanks!
Very pleased with the order and shipping experience. Excellent communication from the company about the order and follow up after I received it. The product is as expected and I look forward to years of use on my motorhome. I asked for and received good information about how to remove the old product and install the new one.

So far so good. The stair pad is very useful. The nonskid pad with yellow warning stripe is awesome. The color has not faded and there is no signs of UV degrading. Two good products, would recommend these items.
After working in my steps, repairing them mechanically and repainting them, this was the final touch. Made them look new again. Perfect!
Excellent part worked great fast delivery.
