Jeff: Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at this 120 volt Y-cord with the weatherproof plug for the Kat's Heaters Frost Plug Block Heaters. Now, this Y-cord kit will provide a nice, easy access point for plugging in an extension cord to power these two engine block heaters. Basically, you'll plug these chords into the frost plug block-style heater in place of the existing chords, and then run this power cord through the grill. At this end, right here is a NEMA 5-15 recessed male plug, which is weatherproof. This will just plug into an extension cord to power the heaters.
If you notice on the molded plug-ins, they do have aluminum locking nuts on there, which will secure the molded plugs to the heater. You just put them on there, screw them in, and it'll hold them in place. These parts are made in the USA.A few specs on this, the applications for most Kat's Heaters Frost Plug-style Engine Block Heaters, voltage is 120 volts, amperage up to 15 amps, and wattage up to 1,800 watts. Now, this is a Y-cord, so it has two different lengths of cords on it. Basically, this one here is 6' long, and that's measured from this plug to the end of the molded end.
This one is 10' long. The same way from the molded end to that plug. But that should do it for the review on this 120 volt Y-cord with the weatherproof plug for the Kat's Heaters Frost Plug Block Heaters.
