This is Jeff at etrailer.com.Today, we're going to take a look at these quick-release aluminum mounting plates for the JIF Marine straight or lifting dock ladders.Now these quick-release mounting plates make it very easy to attach your ladder to your dock for use, and then when you're done using them, you can just pull out the pins and disconnect it for storage. The locking pins are all included, and the mounting, now the mounting hardware to install these brackets to your dock is not included. You would have to supply that. And these brackets are designed to work on straight style or lifting style dock ladders.Zoom back out, I just wanted to show you an example. I happened to pull one of those ladders.
This is the lifting style dock ladder. This is a part number JIF36FR. And if you can see on each side, they have two holes right here. And then there's two holes on this side, and they're designed to drop the ladder over the two pins on each side of the brackets and it'll hold the ladder into place.Basically what happens is these plates will mount to your dock. As I mentioned, if you pull out these tethered pins, the smaller pins.
There's two on each side and you do the two over there. Then you have the two studs up there. You just drop the ladder over the two holes in the ladder. Once the ladder drops into place, attach the tethered smaller pins back over there, and that'll hold your ladder on both sides. It is a rust-proof anodized aluminum construction on these parts so it works well in any marine conditions.
