These all metal water heater door locks work much better than the plastic ones.

I had been searching for metal clips unsuccessfully. I did not want plastic. Then I remembered I had purchased from etrailer in the past. Found and ordered it and then thought it was lost in the mail. I needed the part before vacation. Reps told me they’d replace at no cost if Post Office didn’t deliver. I received it and etrailer professionally followed up to make sure.
Should use the utube explanation of installation. I destroyed the first one, before I saw the process. Took a wk, to go to my place from St. Louise area, but not a crisis. Price was reasonable.

The lock installs into the heater itself not the door. Open the door of the heater, you should see a bracket with a hole in it. If you have an existing camlock still in there you will want to remove it. Compress the spring on your new camlock and pull the lever off. Feed the spring through the back side of the bracket through the hole. Compress the spring again and put the lever back on the end of the spring. Close the heater door, turn the lever horizontal and flip it down.

Working fine, although I havent got the heater quite like it should be. Need to do some shimming.
I bought this for my water heater door on my 5th wheel. Works great. Easy to install. The only negative thing I have is the old one was coated (plastic??) so it didn’t scratch the door.
I find etrailer to be a very reliable company with good customer service.
I bought two double wheel covers and they went right on without a fight.
I bought a couple of baggage door catches as the old were sun beaten and cracked. they went on using the same screw holes, perfect match. I bought a steel version of the old plastic hook and keeper door catch, which the sun had rotted. the bolt holes lined up tighter then the old holes which were stripped. The screws are not stripped now. I bought the Camco cam lock to replace the missing one on my heater door. It works like brand new. I haven't mounted the door lock yet.
I purchased a replacement latch for my water heater door. Part was available, shipped promptly, and installed. I was very happy with the ease I could find my part on the website. I will certainly use etrailer for parts purchases in the future. The latch was an exact fit.
These are one of those simple items that has to be replaced from time to time. It's going to rust; there's no way to stop that short of an expensive painted or powder-coated latch - overkill IMO. Installation takes seconds, and having a spare in the tool drawer under the dinette means not worrying about a failure on the road.
Some places charge the same amount for ONE of these as the pair cost me from E-trailer. These folks are great.

Replaces the "plastic" water heater door latch that comes on many RVs (It's not a matter of "whether" the plastic will break & let the door fall, it's "when"). Easy one-minute replacement/installation.
These little camlocks work like a charm. I used to waste time looking for the products I wanted for my trailer. No more! ETrailer is the best!
Cam Lock fit the water heater door perfectly. Have not used the Water Heater Rinser inser yet, but it appears to be just the right tool.
My items were sent out in a very timely manner, and work exactly as expected. The quality of these are much better than the locks that came on my trailer, and I should not have to replace these again anytime soon.

GOTTA BUY 2? BE SURE TO SEE CAMCO VIDEO FOR INSTALLATION AND THEY WILL BE A SNAP TO INSTALL. GOT THE ALL STEEL AS PLASTIC CAN BREAK AND DOOR COULD FALL.
The Cam Locks that were sold to me were exactly as described. They work like they are supposed to and were easy to install, great product.
Product worked well as a replacement. Luckily there are two in a packet, because I altered the first, rendering not workable. However, by doing so it helped me figure out how to install. If it had directions it would have helped.
This piece is a bit different than the part I am replacing but that isn't meant as a negative feature. I just need to figure out how to install it. As an engineer that shouldn't take but a few minutes.
The purchase process was easy and painless which in itself will drive me back to their website.
Item arrived on time. Web page was easy to navagare..very professional service.i will be using etrailer.again.ty for the great service.
They do what they're designed to do but it took a little figuring out how to mount them and use them.
Broke original plastic one and this new metal one is fine and should last much longer. Order arrived quickly and am very pleased with etrailer.
