Today we're taking a look at the Snap-Loc cam buckle cinch strap. This heavy duty cinching tie down lets you secure cargo to your truck bed, trailer, ladder rack and so on. It's great for securing nets and tarps. It does feature the hook and loop strap wrapper, which keeps your excess strap from tangling or flapping in the wind as you travel down the road, so any excess that you have you can roll up, place in here, bring this over and secure it.This is also great for securing the strap when it's not in use, so you can roll it all up like this place this around and basically just keeps it in a bundled position, so that way it doesn't take up much space, keeps it organized. That way it's ready for the next time you're ready to use it.On the end of the strap we have a plain end, and then on the other end we have a buckle. This is our cam lock buckle.
This holds our strap tight over the gear, so the plain ends feeds through the buckle, that way you can cinch the strap over or around your cargo, so to tighten it you just pull on that plain end and then there's little teeth right here on the buckle, which keeps it from being able to back feed. So, the way to loosen it or release it is by pressing the release lever and then you can release or loosen your strap and completely remove it from the buckle. So, it's a nice easy to use design. The buckle is made from steel, has a zinc plated finish to resist rust and corrosion, the strap is a durable polyester webbing. It's WSTDA certified, product's made in the USA. This strap measures one inch wide by 100 feet long, has a safe working load limit of 500 pounds, with a maximum load or break strength of 1,500 pounds.
Just keep in mind that tie down straps need to be chosen according to their safe working load limit, so the weight of your secure cargo must not exceed the combined working load limit of the straps being used. That's going to do it for today's look at the Snap-Loc cam buckle cinch strap.
