Product to Protect Trailer Wiring on 2007 Suzuki Grand Vitara
Question:
Hello, I am going to purchase the C58000 mounting bracket for my hitch receiver. I have the t-wiring kit and the receiver. This all fits my 2007 Suzuki grand vitara. So, I would like to protect the wires that go to the bracket. Do you sell some sort of wrapping tubing that is split down the sides that I can put around these wires to keep the weather out? Thanks.

It is a great idea to provide some protection for your trailer wiring on your 2007 Suzuki Grand Vitara and we do offer a product just for this purpose. Wire loom is offered in 10-foot lengths in both 1/4-inch diameter (part # 7509-10) and 3/8-inch diameter (part # 39035) and also in 1/2-inch size by the foot, part # 459075-1. The linked video shows an application of this product.
Wire loom is a great idea in general, but especially in cold climates where winter time road salts can attack the insulation on your wiring harness. Using wire loom will extend the life of your wiring harness and is an excellent low-cost insurance for your wiring set-up.
