I recently purchased a used utility trailer which needs a little work. Harness in bad shape and cracked lights necessitated the buying of a new harness and light system, the staff at etrailer helped me find the correct replacement parts at a price quite affordable, shipping was immediate, and parts arrived in great shape. Would definitely buy from e trailer again!

Great!

The wire loom is just what I needed, and it is just the right size for the job. I am using it to cover coax cable and a HDMI cable that we use to connect our TV to our computer. The reason we need to cover the cables is our 16 year old cat chews the cables which ruins them. Since covering the cables she no longer chews on them.

The wire loom has protected our coax cable and HDMI cable from our cat chewing on it.

Tammy was amazing helping me figure out a set up for an unusual situation. Highly recommend this company!

The Firestone airbags were very easy to install. The only place that I scratched my head was for the torque values for the various hardware. I eventually located it at the end of the instructions. It is common in the better auto repair manuals to list the torque ratings in the drawings. Just an idea.
Since I'm somewhat OCD when it comes to mechanical work, I always have a torque wrench in hand for the final tightening.
Your instructional videos are a real time saver. Well Done!!!
The air tubing cutter worked as advertised. Nice, clean and even cuts every time.

***I think E-trailer sent me about 15-18 feet of loom, which turned out to be perfect for my Ford Fusion.****Thought it would be good to protect the battery wire a little extra, as I did't use a hoist for raising the car. Used 7 1/2" tall wood ramps( they just cleared the rear fenders) on the two back tires and 3 inches on the left front. Ramps should have a 7 inch run for every 1 1/2" rise. I used 3 1/2 inch and backing up that steep a grade without a helper was a little difficult. used a fiberglass rod to fish the wire underneath the long plastic mid-body housing instead of removing the inboard fasteners. Had I not already pulled all the wire through the trunk grommet and securely glued it, it would have been easier to thread the loom on the wire and then place duct tape bands about 1/2" by 3" around the loom to keep everything line up for pulling and leading the wire. It didn't take too long to do that from under the car and then push it back up to possible rub spots followed by threading the assembled wire & loom around the rear footwell and up to the battery. The duct tape helps keep the wire inside the loom during threading and especially around the turns at the rear footwell.

Right size for my trailer wiring. Used for a year no problems, works Great!

by:

Everything came fast. Replaced the wiring harness on the car for the trailer, replaced the wiring harness on my 5x8 trailer, and all the lights on the trailer. All the directions were great and I had no problems with any of the installations.

by:

All items in the order for trailer wiring components were exactly what I ordered and all items were delivered promptly. Good communication from Etrailer with reasonable prices, and FREE SHIPPING!! Nice.

by:

Didn't come with cargo carrier tail light kit but was in video that recommended it so I bought it. Sure makes the wires look nice and neat and extra protection to boot.

by:

This wire loom is of a very simple plastic construction that makes it easy to use. I used this in conjunction with some new hardware to rewire a trailer, and the loom was very valuable to protect all the wires exposed to the elements. Cuts easy and wire inserts even easier.

by:

Got the wiring harness to make an extension to pull our trailer behind our camper with bikes and kayaks in. This worked great! I love etrailer!

by:

Worked great. Used it to cover 12 awg power wire ran under the chassis, along the brake lines. What more can I say...it's wire loom.

by:

Great product. Really helped to protect the wiring to my backup camera.

by:

Product matches picture. I used to clean up unharnessed trailer wires. Functions well.

by:

I needed to get a larger size. It would have accommodated the splice connector blocks better than the 1/4".

by:

This product worked great for protecting wiring I installed for my Jeep and tow setup.

by:

Great product at an economical price! It greatly helped improved the appearance of my motorcycle which had some unpleasant exposed wires. Thank you eTrailer!!!

by:

product received in good condition. used to wrap wiring on my utility trailer

by:

Used for extra protection for the airlines. Easy to install.

by:

Everything was in package and arrived on time

by:

Just gives your wires a little more protection from snow, salt, and slush. They do get a little brittle when it gets colder.

by: 03/05/2022

Worked very well in my 2015 Siena and rides very stable after installation! Very good product quality!

by:

by:

by:

High quality material, firm, but easy to position into place and secure.

  • Does Hot Lead Have to be Run to Vehicle Battery
You can only run a hot lead to the vehicle battery when installing a trailer wiring harness like the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # HM11143894 on a 2011 Subaru Impreza Wagon. You need to run a hot lead to the battery because this is the only way to ensure your car's wiring is not otherwise affected. To do this you may need Wire Loom, 10' Long # 7509-10 and Loom Clamp -1/4" # A0250. I have added a link to a help article on routing a power...

  • Recommended Routing of Power Wire for Powered Taillight Converter Install on 2018 Toyota Camry
I don't have a specific routing to recommend, but I do have some helpful guidelines for you. You'll want to avoid anything hot or moving, like steering, exhaust or suspension components. Some folks like to use wire loom, like part # 7509-10 (sold in 10-foot lengths) to protect the wire. Usually, the best practice is to find an existing wiring harness and follow that. Be sure to use plenty of zip ties to secure the wire. I've linked to a help article on the subject, which provides other...

  • Does Hot Lead on Wiring Harness for 2018 Jeep JL Wrangler Unlimited Have to be Run to Battery
Thanks for the purchase and that is a good question, but you must run the hot lead directly to the battery when installing a 4-way, which in your case is the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56407. The reason is this is the only way to ensure your car's wiring is not otherwise affected, and you can run the hot lead from your battery in any manner you see fit. To do this you may need Wire Loom, 10' Long # 7509-10 and Loom Clamp -1/4" # A0250....

  • Testing Trailer Brake Circuit and Replacing Brake Output Wire on 2013 Ford F-350
Since your issue with the trailer brake circuit began with a big bump I would first check the wiring at the 7-way. That bump may have been a pothole but it could also have been a bit of road debris that may have damaged that wire. Essentially you'll want to inspect the truck wiring from the 7-way socket, forward as far as you can trace it. Look for damage to the insulation, cracks or worn spots. Look for points where the brake wire may be touching suspension components or any sharp edges...

We do offer both hard-wire and custom plug-in 4-pole wiring harnesses for the 2008 Lincoln MKX. The unit I recommend for your MKX is the custom plug-in harness from Tow Ready, part # 118551. This trailer wiring harness installs by plugging in to your MKX's tail light wiring; just one spliced connection is required, for the 12V power input wire to the converter. This connection is made from the short wire on the converter box to your battery's positive terminal, through the included fuse...

I do recommend that you first check to ensure that you will not be drawing too many amps on the circuit by using both the dolly wiring and the tow lights together. • Is a Trailer Wiring Converter Needed for a 2011 Jeep Liberty
Yes, a converter is needed for a 2011 Jeep Liberty because one the tail light circuits are on separate wires and they need to be combined for a trailer and two the factory tail light circuits are not sufficient to power the lights on a trailer as well as the lights on the vehicle. I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118554 which has one of the most durable converters on the market due to the potting which helps keeps the wires attached...

If you needed less of expect that you might have other wiring to run with the existing wires, you can go to a 1/2 inch loom, sold in 1 foot increments, # 459075-1.
