There are two different styles of Chevrolet Silverado for the 2007 Model Year. The Silverado Classic has a connector under the dash and the Silverado New Body Style has a bundle of wires to connect the brake controller to, which would be located below the steering column and tied together with white tape to the left of the brake pedal.

Once you have the brake controller spliced to the wires under the dash on the New Body Style truck, you will need to use the Finalizing Connections section on our installation page (see link) to complete the wiring of the brake controller. Finally, you will need a 7-Way connector at the rear of the vehicle and this can be done with the Twist-in, 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector, item # PK11916.

Under the dash of a 2007 Silverado Classic you should see a black cover. Remove the cover and you will see a row of sockets. In the top row, the second one from the left, is the connection point for a brake controller wiring harness. You would then have to connect the wires under the hood as described on our Brake Controller Installation Page (see link).

Finally, you will need a 7-Way connector at the rear of the vehicle and this can be done with the OEM Style 7-Way and 4-Way Trailer Connectors for Ford and GM Trucks, item # 30955, if your truck already has the plug for these connectors (most do).
