Which Curt TruTrack Weight Distribution for Travel Trailer that Weighs 750-850 lbs
Question:
I am looking for a WD hitch with sway control for a 29ft travel trailer with 750-850lbs of tongue weight and total trailer weight of 7000 lbs to 10,000 lbs. Tow vehicle is a 2024 2WD Sequoia. Curt C17500 seems like the right weight rating, but is there value in going up to a hitch with a higher rating like the C17501? I have a lot of flexibility with adding/removing tongue weight by shifting cargo around. Does having a rig that is too stiff hurt trailer sway performance? Thanks in advance.

Hey Chris, so the trick to pick out a weight distribution system is to go with the one that has the range that matches the tongue weight of the trailer. If you go with a system that is rated too high it gives you a much harsher ride quality.
So since your tongue weight range is 750-850 lbs the part # C17500 is the correct kit of the two you mentioned.
