Recommended Hitch and 4-Way Wiring for 2022 Mazda CX-5
Question:
Looking for a hitch setup for my 2022 Mazda CX-5. For wiring, your website says I need part #C59496. Your QandA on this recommends parts #C56496 and #55151, which works out to be considerably cheaper. Is there any reason to go with #C59469? Thanks.

It definitely makes more sense to go with the # C56496 and # 55151. The only difference between this combination and the # C59496 (aside from cost) is the addition of a circuit tester. If you want a circuit tester you could add the # PTW2993 and still come out on top.
If you haven't decided on a hitch yet, I recommend the etrailer # e98902 for your 2022 Mazda CX-5. My favorite thing about this hitch is the matte black finish. This gives it an OEM look that tends to blend in better on vehicles. It also does a better job hiding inevitable dirt and dings. It features a bolt-on installation and comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
In order to complete your setup you will also need a ball mount. Check out the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. This kit has two ball mounts, one with a 3/4" rise or 2" drop and the other with a 2-3/4" rise or 4" drop. It also comes with a 1-7/8" and 2" ball, as well as a ball mount bag to store everything in.
