Is There Room to Open the Tailgate with the B&W Continuum Weight Distribution System
Question:
Info says there will be clearance enough to open tailgate and it dose not look like it. What is the differance in the product of underslung model and the standard what parts are different

Expert Reply:
The B&W Continuum Weight Distribution System part # BW78FR won't allow for the tailgate to open fully as it ships. In order for this to happen you'd need to switch out the shank for a longer option which is still currently being developed and tested by B&W. That said, you could still open the tailgate most of the way as is you would just need to be careful resting it on the jack but this can vary from trailer to trailer
In regards to the B&W Continuum Weight Distribution System part # BW88FR, this is designed for models with an underslung coupler meaning the coupler is mounted on the bottom of the frame and not on top which is what the above model is for and most common.

This question is in response to a reply from Connor L regarding a longer shank for the B&W Continuum that is in development and testing. Do know if there is a release date that you know of yet?? Very interested in purchasing.. Thanks Jim
